Her husband was uneasy because they'd only met online. He said "you could be meeting up with an axe murderer!" No axes in our group - just very sharp rotary cutters and scissors! The Lizzies are the kindest, most supportive group ever! Love my Lizzie friends! Love your piece Pam!

I enjoy your wips and finished stitching projects, you ladies do an excellent job . When I was a child we used to skip rope to the little rhyme of Lizzie Borden. Michael must be very athletic to climb that really big hill in Lisbon, to get to the castle. I had to go get a cookie when you ladies opened your overseas package from the Netherlands, what a great package from a lovely gal. Your stitching fans really love you ladies with all the wonderful goodies and gifts that you have received from them. Keep up the good work ladies.

I bought Merry Xmas Santa by Lori Birmingham designs, Good tiding by Jeannette Douglas, Reindeer by Cottage garden, Autumn Gnome and Reindeer Christmas gnome by Les petties Croix, Christmas tiny town by heart in hand, Independence Day and Christmas tiered by Les Petites Croix, Give thanks and Autumn leaves & Pumpkins please by Autumn lane, Cup of Cheer by Shannon Christine, Boo banner, Sledding buddies, Winter banner, Do you see, and flowers in Winter banner all by Stoney Creek. I guess I have my work cut out for this year 2023. Whew!!!. I will be starting on some of my new starts Jan 1st and I also want to finish up some of my old WIP's. I am thinking about doing 23 finishes this year for 2023 (will see). In the meantime Happy Stitching and be safe and kind. God bless Pat

When Steph said Smyrna numerous times, a light bulb went off and I decided I am going to name my new cat Smyrna. Okay, so I don't actually have a new cat, but I have been trying for 4 years to talk hubby into getting a cat, so far, no luck. I have a name, so I'm not giving up!!!! Pam, in my little world, if I am working on a project and if midnight comes and goes, I still count that as working on it the day I started working on it. So, I guess the day doesn't end until I put down the current stitching project. Of course, I am notorious for stitching past my bedtime! 😴🛌. Have a wonderful time at Stitch Away. We will miss you at your usual time, but are looking forward to the retreat highlights.

I am a new linen stitcher and wondering if you can explain difference between cashel, Dublin, Edinburgh, ect…styles of linen. I’m so confused???? Any who…. Just keep stitchin’.
Hi Natalie, The "Irish names" are assigned by the linen manufacturer Zweigart, in Germany, to denote the thread count of the fabric (linen threads per inch). So... Cork linen is 18 ct Dublin linen is 25 ct Cashel linen is 28 ct Belfast linen is 32 ct Edinburgh linen is 36 ct Newcastle linen is 40 ct Hope this helps!

Ok...the reason for my comment is I will be attending my first ever cross stitch retreat later this year. Heading to Iowa in November...so excited to see fall foliage. Hi Pam and Steph! It was such a treat getting to laugh along with your video today. You two always bring a smile to my face. My husband evens loves listening to your banter and he does NOT watch Flosstube, even mine. (Can you imagine that?) Thank you for the photo Christmas card. I posted it on my refrigerator along with my family photo cards, as you are part of my cross stitch family. Every time I look at it, it brings a smile to my face of Galleria and Quilter's Station and all the fun we had there. I wish you loads of fun at Camp Stitchaway. Wish I were there, but recovering from a much needed neck surgery that was keeping me from stitching and playing piano. And I am a piano teacher, so that is NOT good at all. I never heard of Lizzie Borden before you and I enjoy listening to crime drama audio books and happened upon one that had a chapter on this story. My friends laugh at my obsession with true crime. Okay, so I don't actually have a new cat, but I have been trying for 4 years to talk hubby into getting a cat, so far, no luck. I have a name, so I'm not giving up!!!! Pam, in my little world, if I am working on a project and if midnight comes and goes, I still count that as working on it the day I started working on it. So, I guess the day doesn't end until I put down the current stitching project. Of course, I am notorious for stitching past my bedtime! 😴🛌. Have a wonderful time at Stitch Away. We will miss you at your usual time, but are looking forward to the retreat highlights.

Hey ladies!!! Love you both so much. My hubby and I have an ongoing debate on which one of you is the craziest.😂 I’ll never tell which one of you I vote for. I am a new linen stitcher and wondering if you can explain difference between cashel, Dublin, Edinburgh, ect…styles of linen. I’m so confused???? Any who…. Just keep stitchin’.

The "Irish names" are assigned by the linen manufacturer Zweigart, in Germany, to denote the thread count of the fabric (linen threads per inch). So...
Cork linen is 18 ct
Dublin linen is 25 ct
Cashel linen is 28 ct
Belfast linen is 32 ct
Edinburgh linen is 36 ct
Newcastle linen is 40 ct

Ok...the reason for my comment is I will be attending my first ever cross stitch retreat later this year. Heading to Iowa in November...so excited to see fall foliage. Hi Pam and Steph! It was such a treat getting to laugh along with your video today. You two always bring a smile to my face. My husband evens loves listening to your banter and he does NOT watch Flosstube, even mine. (Can you imagine that?) Thank you for the photo Christmas card. I posted it on my refrigerator along with my family photo cards, as you are part of my cross stitch family. Every time I look at it, it brings a smile to my face of Galleria and Quilter's Station and all the fun we had there. I wish you loads of fun at Camp Stitchaway. Wish I were there, but recovering from a much needed neck surgery that was keeping me from stitching and playing piano. And I am a piano teacher, so that is NOT good at all. Hi Pam----Loved to see your Lizzie Borden again. I haven't seen it since October and I thought it might be until next October. I never heard of Lizzie Borden before you and I enjoy listening to crime drama audio books and happened upon one that had a chapter on this story. My friends laugh at my obsession with true crime. I just tell them to be careful because I now know how to off them and get away with it. lol Congrats on your finish!!

I've always wondered with the changing of the framed items on the wall behind you, do you have a whole bunch of them stored somewhere? If so how do you store them.
They are stored vertically by season in our craft room.
