What makes you think she is telling the truth? Surely, it's her word against his. I'm not a Seagal fan, just thinking about innocence until proven guilty.
OMG I loved her in The Good Wife and loved her in an interview where she talked so openly and eloquently about being 40 and dating a younger man (who now is her husband) and thinking she may not possibly be able to give him kids (she is a mom), but after she shared her story with Steven Seagal and how after that she took the subway and used the money to pay off her credit card, GIRL! SHE IS A GODDESS. Love her ethics, her calming voice, her pose. She is GOALS.
I feel like Drew didn’t do her research, honestly. The title of Julianna’s book is actually a reference to her always being called “the sunshine girl” as a kid, because she hid her true emotions. It isn’t about optimism. No wonder Julianna looks confused. And Julianna has never said she left ER because she wasn’t happy with the show - as she says in this interview, she just wanted to do other things. I know she’s also said that she wanted to keep her character exciting and interesting, and not drag out her storyline. She was also homesick for New York and tired of shooting 14-hour days in Los Angeles for 6 years. Finally, saying that Drew reached out to Seagal for comment right to Julianna’s face - I get why she had to say it, but she couldn’t have done it more tactfully? I like Drew Barrymore, but I feel like this interview was kind of upsetting. I’ve loved Julianna and her character on ER since I was a kid.
Wow, I am loving you Drew, that was a hell of an interview. That look on your face when she was telling it, I could see you had been there (as have we all, smdh, it's the same for all of us). Great video, thank you.
Julianna is an amazing woman. ❤️ She is such a quick thinker. 😁 For a moment, I thought she was going to say “Weak kidneys? That is so true, I need to use the washroom” and run away! 😂
How many Steven Seagal stories do we need before something is done about him? Have you heard Claudia Jordan's story from years ago? Same story. He's a predator
This story wasn't comparable...lol she was only scared because he had a gun, he didnt pull it on her or do anything illegal, this woman is just a weak, small minded person who is trying to exaggerate a story for attention.
A slightly more cynical possibility for turning down that money was that she was getting feature film offers and she took a chance that striking while the iron was hot would pay off with much more lucrative and interesting film work. I recall reading speculation of this nature in the press around that time. She did a few films right after leaving the series, but didn’t exactly have a major streak of big screen success so if that was her gamble it didn’t pay off.
Liverpool5563 She didn’t actually wind up doing that much theater. But even still, I don’t think her doing some theater means the cynical explanation I offered is wrong. It might be wrong, but her doing some theater doesn’t make it wrong.
OMG I was nervous about how that Steven Segal thing would turn out. So glad Julianna got out of there unharmed. He's such a narcissistic slime ball, of course he denied it.
Please. When one paycheck can support you for the rest of your life, then it's easy to walk away. Regular people can't do this. I'm sorry. You both live in a different place than the rest of us. Just because you love to "work" doesn't mean that you'll be lucky enough to get another great gig. Ms. Margulies was one such person, as is Ms. Barrymore, but again, not too many people in show business do.
it is always good to follow your heart and instincts and your will to find your true path, if you got a bad feeling about something follow your instincts on that big time, just not the right time for that to happen yet for something much better is awaiting you
I think you missed her point - she DIDN'T anything near that much in her personal portfolio but had enough to live comfortably and just felt it was time to move on. She wasn't motivated by money alone.
I worked frequently on "ER" as background when Julianna was still there (but George had gone). Was a lot of tension--but she had tremendous clout. She had no problem speaking up and would swear like a sailor, especially when Jonathan Kaplan was directing. Kaplan had ego-issues.

Not to mention her story about steven....she is just exaggerating for attention. Steven didnt pull the gun on her or do anything illegal yet she is acting like this was a terrifying moment I her life. She must live a safe sheltered life if thats scary to her...
As someone who is very familiar with weapons... It’s pretty much culture where I’m from. No responsible gun owner would ever leave a gun just laying out, on a damn couch. I’ve never been a fan of him and I’m definitely not now.
Ms juliana is sooo beautiful i can here the emotion in drew question. We need a er reboot. In those days 27mill is a lott to decide to move on. Steven segal 😯😐 omg he had a gun on the couch he is big thats scary. Oh he read yr palm wah
I'm very disappointed about the Steven Segal story, big fan of his acting. BUT JULIANNA I HAVE NO DOUBT and I'm sorry you had to go through that, I would've been scared to death and got out of there asap, also lol You look fabulous!!! 😁❤❤ I'm still a lil bit mad ya left E.R LOL 🤣
@@Katzenhase sadly, No I didn't. But I don't doubt it. Looks like he's been doing this in his whole life. I just feel like I was cheated the same way bu Bill Cosby. My childhood is ruined LOL
Omg how horrible!!! I never heard this about Steven Segal- what a creepy dude. These stories of actresses experiences- Drew, Julianna, Charlize, makes you wonder how many have these close call stories or even worse :(
True. Also sounds like she remembers being dirt poor. Once the house was paid off, pressure was off . Money certainly gives more options , opportunities
To this day when I see her I always think she turned down all that money! Every time she gets a new job I think she's gotta make up that ER money, lol.
So it was terrifying because he had a gun? He didnt pull it on her or do anything weird it was just the fact that he had a gun...even though he IS an action star.....what a weak woman. This woman is amazing. I enjoy every show and movie she has been in.
I am glad Steve was asked for a response, but not surprised by the answer.

@@Henrik46 Seagal did show up in a bathrobe and showed her his gun. That´s no crime! He didn´t rape her etc.....

I loved her on ER. By far her best role.
the face she has on when Drew says that Steven denies the incident... Look out!
Damn. That’s integrity.

That was back in 1990. Do you really think that someone´s care from authorities? Seagal did nothing wrong. He didn´t rape her, didn´t beat her.
