- A discussion with Rt Hon Dame Jacinda Ardern, Former Prime Minister of New Zealand, Angelopoulos Global Public Leaders Fellow, Hauser Leader and Knight Tech Governance Leadership Fellow. In conversation with Hannah Riley Bowles, Co-Director Center for Public Leadership and Women and Public Policy Program.
Just so Americans can understand a bit better, she is NZ's version of Justin Trudeau.
Yes she is evil
Not Justin , you mean Adolph Hitler
a.k.a King & Queen of Woke
actually worse
so you have someone from outside your country kill 50 citizens and so then taking guns off law abiding people that could defend themselves with their guns from terrorists is the thing to do?
Exactly deliberately bought into our country
Norwegians still have their guns 12 years after after Anders Brevik gunned down 77 children . There hasn't been another mass shooting in Norway . The King of Norway told his people that they must not turn inward and allow the event to destroy their freedoms .
She's a snake for 6 years, done bugger all 4 NZ's that cares to this country...
Shes a nightmare in New Zealand!! Keep her we dont want her!! Worst PM in NZ history!!
Is the melbourne cup still running
More detail on how he got a gun license. Were there no checks done? Who were his referees? There must be more that's not being addressed here
Prior to the shooting Jacinda's administration actually removed some of the checks on NZ firearm licences as part of a costs saving measure. She also made NZ's most vocal Islamophobic politician deputy PM.
Where he purchased the guns an alert was put out and ignored
Police (Dunedin) interviewed to referees by phone who, it has turned out, were online friends he had never met personally
He purchased firearms & ammo online so police had to approve the purchases. Thousands of rounds of ammo & it was never queried, thousands of $$'s worth. Firearms dealers did nothing wrong. He got a gun licence within 6 weeks of arriving in the country -no NZer can get even an A cat alone that quickly.
the police did not follow their own procedures, and ignored two people who independently advised police they thought he was a nut.
she should be teaching marketing not politics
What is the penalty for Treason ? got the gallows ready
WEF Pundit we were all misled. What a shame, never mind now New Zealand has a First Nations PM, Im sure they can get by without another Dame Whatever. Go The All Blacks and The Warriors, Go the Maoris....🌹🦘🦘🦘
My God! I hope you're not referring to Winston Peter's? First Nations my ass! He might look the part but his ways are definitely NOT about uplifting or supporting our Maori people!! Quite the opposite. Him and those two idiots he's co-governing with. That in itself is a joke. End of my rant.
On a brighter note tho, absolutely agree with you when it comes to the All Blacks nd Warriors 👍
🤮
The least effective and most divisive New Zealand Prime Minister, ever.
- Capitalized on and flamed racial divide, and promoted identity politics in New Zealand.
- Brought economic hardship to lower socioeconomic New Zealanders while voicing concerns of pity, increasing welfare (doubling NZ debt in the 6 years she was in office).
- Unemployment increased, school attendance decreased, and happiness indexes fell dramatically under her rule.
- Educated through World Economic Forum socialist strategies, which have big business interests at their core.
- Advocates for minorities, but promotes policing language which effectively stifles freedoms and suppresses unpopular opinion.
- Polled so low in her second term she left NZ to share her "wisdom" with none the wiser indoctrinated college students in the USA.
And she does it with a smile, with a "be nice" attitude. We know not to trust politicians, but some were fooled by her stance. It is no surprise for Harvard to give Jacinda Ardern a platform, a once great institution of exploration, now looking inward to confirm their virtue.
John Key was NOT divisive at all. He was extremely popular and most of NZ stats and economy improved over his terms. Don’t compare Horseface with Key
@@redpink9773 Fair, cinder block is a lot worse, and while I agree that John Key wasn't divisive in NZ, he was not effective economically.
John Key was good short term for the NZ economy, but to achieve this temporary gain he sold off assets and allowed foreign buyers in which, with hindsight, has significantly weakened our economy. Mixed ownership of state assets (Mighty River Power, Meridian Energy, Genesis Energy, Solid Energy) was allowed and performed under his watch. Dairy industry is now a large % foreign owned.
@@redpink9773 Anyway, removed the John Key bit from my comment because overall I agree with you. Cinder block is in a league of shit of her own. Cheers.
@@RepeatQuotations He did sell those state assets, but to be fair many assets such as forestry were 50% sold off by Clark. Its also inline with almost every developed country in the world. If you think they are such a great asset you are free to buy the stocks and take the risk or reward yourself. The dairy industry is a different thing because it touches on land, water usage, pollution, its really a different thing. Whether policy was good or Bad, is a matter of Opinion, It didn't pit Kiwi's against each other.
Policy aside Helen Clark & John Key were uniting PM's, widely popular.
Jacinda has divided NZ in a such a way, NZ may never be the same.
@@redpink9773 State assets have value beyond what a speculative investment provides for an average Joe. I'd prefer property, S&P500, a vanguard mutual fund, or Bitcoin. But ownership of state assets can provide a platform for parties with interests in related business - lobbying, a seat at the table, and ultimately, control. NZ's primary industries are agricultural, forestry, horticulture, and seafood. Selling out these industries to foreign buyers undermines our strength and ability to effectively lobby in a global economy. That's where I think John Key put a couple of nails in NZ's coffin.
I suppose our situation isn't so bad compared to say, Laos, which now has the Laos-China rail through the middle of the country, funded partially by China and the rest "paid" by a Laos govt already in crippling debt to China. The railway is 30% Laos state owned, and 70% China state owned. It is used for transport, but mainly it is used to extract goods from Laos to China. In 2021 alone, after the railway opened, Laos lost 318,000 hectares of natural forest. I went there in 2021 and talked to farmers up to 1km away from the train line who had their land taken away, with no compensation due to the govt debt. There are many special China economic zones up the train line now. You can read more here: www.tandfonline.com/doi/full/10.1080/24761028.2023.2274236 . Also check out section "2.1. Driver: elites’ legitimation pathways". Sound familiar?!
Anyway, aside from the Laos state asset tangent, yes, I agree. Jacinda Ardern was, by far, the most divisive leader New Zealand ever had. John Key and Helen Clark had their faults but I believe they both wanted to achieve consensus, instead of bull headedly pushing ideologically motivated, biased, and economically damaging policy. Now NZ has some healing to do. It goes back to forming community and creating spaces where we can talk about it openly, as a nation.
She is no longer a Right Honorable and hardly a Dame. Get your video title right
Right honorable is a title she can use for life as she held the post of Prime Minister and she was appointed Dame in the King's Birthday and Coronation Honours List in June this year, so both titles are accurate.
@@hollym3462 The problem is all the factually accurate bits that are conveniently left out. How bout; Her losing the 2017 election and forming a coalition government by appointing a bigot as deputy PM? Kiwibuild? Corruption - $12m to green school? Policing numbers? Basic governing like providing a budget? Breaking climate laws? Being widely hated in NZ? Racial laws for health care? Or how about being so widely disliked in NZ her own Labour party distanced themselves from her before the 2023 election.
@@hollym3462 the titles are accurate, but not deserved.
She was an incompetent leader, unless you're one of those people who like to told how to think... (did you put a teddy in the front window of your house in Lockdown?
Pantomime Dame of Division is only title she deserves.
Making her a Dame makes a mockery of every knighthood ever given.
Jacinda come home
i just couldn't love her more.
You shouldn’t. She is a liar
@@BlueBirds-fs1id you don't know what I know, and won't do for a long time. Patience love, when you find out, it will be mind blowing, promise.
@@laurietarawa1371 I know more about her than you will ever know. Ignorance is not a virtue
As a Muslim I admire her sense of justice and equality
Lol she's full of it 😂
Justice!? Hahah😅
what has religion got to do with anything?
what self censorship got to do with free society
LET'S GO JACINDA!!! 🎉 Rarely is there a leader too good for politics. In a world of selfish manipulators and bloodthirsty warmongers, NZ was lucky to share in this star's light for a while.
She was New Zealand's worst prime minister ever.
She dare not show her face in New Zealand, worst prime minister ever
She can’t show her face in NZ for fear of a tax audit. Her NZ assets must be frozen, and seized by the government if the audit reveals the obvious. There are gangsters who have had their assets confiscated, and many of them have committed far less crime than Dame Crazy horse
Lol from NZ are we?
You're clearly not a New Zealand voter.
She is the Queen of Democracy and Humanity. Thank you New Zealand
In 2008 she was President of the International Union of Socialist Youth. She is an extreme Left wing ideologue. She disrespected democratic processes here in NZ, and the country has voted vehemently against her legacy.
Incredible woman, incredible leader, from an incredible country.
it was an incredible country until she became the worst PM ever - she is a stain on our nation
@@occiputslave2145 Oh okay 😂 The Occiput Slave bot speaks lol
you got the last bit right.
lol should ask Kiwis that ,she can't even walk our streets!
absolutely correct@@occiputslave2145
I love hearing Jacinda speak. She's truly a role model to me even though I'm not in politics or in a position of leadership.
It is a dog who all but ruined our home NZ, wake up!!
Except she is hated here in New Zealand and she is a complete fake
See you in Tee
