Last Weekend we trekked gudibande fort and visited unexplored nearby lakes Bhairasagara lake and Vatadahosahalli lake. These are must visit places near Bangalore which 100kms from Bangalore, a good option for One day trip. On the way to Gudibande Fort we visited Bhairasagara lake. We have given full details on how to reach Gudibande Fort and covered different terrains while trekking the Gudibande Fort. We spent about half a day in Gudibande Fort. Then we visited Vatadahosahalli lake which is just 10mins drive from Gudibande Fort. These are offbeat trek and lakes near Bangalore within 100kms which are unexplored. Carry some packed food and it will be a great spot for a picnic near Bangalore.

Gudibande is a city in Chikkaballapur District in the Indian State of Karnataka.
Gudibande Fort was built by a yogi and a local chieftain called Byre Gowda some 400 odd years ago in the 17th century. It can be said as a concise replica of the Madhugiri fort. The fort has seven levels with interconnecting escape routes which would help soldiers to flee in case of emergency. On the top of the fort is a Shiva temple. One can also have a good view of the Byrasagara reservoir.

Hey Gourav! It takes about 45 mins to 1 hour depending on the speed. It is an easy trek.

Loved this place. Thank you for such a lovely video with useful info. Is the way up safe enough to carry 6month old baby? and If yes then can you plz tell me how much time it will take to go up (approx duration)?
Thanks a lot🙏 It might be a little difficult but you should be able to do it if you have some previous trek experience! It is a short trek with mostly climbing steps, it might take 45mins to 1hr. We have shown all the different terrains in the video which should give you a good idea😊

Beautiful video. Admire your concern for environment and careless littering. I wish you could collect a few bottles and plastic whenever you travel by car. This should surely motivate people to avoid littering. Maybe we can crowdfund boards displaying "What you bring, you take out" in English and kannada.

No not much.. It's a huge place so people were spread we maintained enough social distancing!

Hey! We had been there on Saturday August 15th. It will be open on Sundays as well. There were no restriction put up there. You should be fine :)
