My birthday is Dec 24th so it added stress to my close friends and family. Now friends and I go out and enjoy a nice meal. I am ok with being treated to a drink during the meal. Recently my daughter gifted me an early gift having my car detailed. I loved it! My car looks and feels new 😁. With family we no longer exchange gifts. We get together and all wear identical pajamas for Christmas dinner.

I love this! I'm not minimalist but I am minimal-ish hehe lol and I'm just kinda tired of...stuff. When I was younger I thought people who gave experiences were kinda selfish...like take me too! But as I got older I realized life is about memories and bonding. I don't want stuff. I wanna laugh with you or cry or cuddle or yeet ourselves off a damn mountain together lol 😆 I just want time now. Hope you're having an awesome winter season ❄️💚

I would like a tiny home. I would have one built just like yours but 2 slide outs cuz I would have to have a recliner and regular size couch (stretch legs out) and small dishwasher even if it were on a little shelf. Everything else. Exactly like yours. And I have seen a ton of tiny home tours.

I'm with you. I had no idea the sound headband existed. I'm wondering if the ear buds removable so the band can be washed periodically. Someone let me know......
You can't remove them on my band but it can be washed gently by hand and hung to dry.
Not unusual for me….had that request to all for years…..spend time with me …that’s all…have a cuppa ….to some that might seem daunting! Lol….any time of year! No stuff please. Oooo I have that pet hair roller for my cat’s hair too! It works so well. Love it. Great suggestions. Would love to see more of your instant pot uses…. I actually have two sizes and seem to have a usage block 😏… I would love some inspiration! 😁

I was amazed that I have all the items you mentioned, except the water filter (I have a water dispenser and have water delivery), and the instapot. And you're right, they all are wonderful gifts. But I also agree that experience gifts, or just spending time with anyone are the best.

Great video. Funny because I have pretty much every thing you are showing us except the fur collector and silicone covers. I wish they’d been given to me as gifts. Would of been awesome. Your wearing my Christmas sweater by the way and sitting on my Christmas throw. Hahahaha! I think the next air fryer I buy will be a multi level one . I think I use mine every day for something even for just as a quick warm upper. I like your red one . Not seen one like that yet. I’m still getting used to my instant pot but I’ve done a few chicken curries, soups, stews so far. I’ve seen myself pull it out to use and I change my mind and go for the air fryer Lol!
As far as your subscriber quest goes I am so glad to be a subscriber on your channel. I find the information you put out to be by far one of the best put together and useful out there.
I follow a few van conversions channels as well and again , yours was the best. I’ve not seen anyone else that would crawl up on the roof and painstakingly in the heat of the day cut out and install what you did. And your van is awesome. I hope to see more of the Island when you resume your road trips in the future.

I can’t find the comment now, but the music headband can be hand washed & air dried. It showed a vid of it in US store. Also you can cover your eyes to sleep better if need be. Ty Adelina. Just bought as gift to myself bc I love guided meditations at night but my Bluetooth gets me sweaty (goes around my neck). For anyone who doesn’t know that’s a Bluetooth device also. Love it. Many colors to choose from.💙🎄🌀

I think you chose great gifts. I use the IKEA octopus drying rack all the time, never buy plastic wrap because I use the bowl covers, and my instant pot is my favorite kitchen appliance. Great minds think alike. 😉 😃

I had to transplant to Amazon in US, and surprised at some of the price differences:( I left BC in 1974, thinking it was way too expensive even back then.. HAD to add the can opener, as I LOL, ours is struggling and not always opening tins, and no magnet to pull lid out. Also silicone covers for leftovers etc too. GREAT suggestions, and HAVE A WONDERFUL Christmas and ALL THE BEST, Cheers! :)

I live in the USA 😢so bought the music headband here. The headband can also receive calls. I love it.
Couldn’t figure out how to charge it (it comes w/charging cord but doesn’t instruct you in manual). FYI, on the inside of the band opposite the power & volume buttons which are on outside, there’s a little slit & voilá. Open the slit & there’s the charging port. The sound is amazing on it. I like it better than my earbuds that I have to stick in my ears-more comfortable.

I got the silicone covers and I think I got the worst ones ever. They do not stay put. They pop off after a couple minutes. Not sure what the problem is.
They don't work for me.
I ended up making my own beeswax covers. Made with material I already had. Work so much better.

I own the octopus hanger too, got it when I lived tiny but didn’t like using it. But I also didn’t want to throw it out. I now repurposed it as a chandelier outside, under my gazebo where I sit enjoying my outdoor fireplace with others. Turned it into an “experience” and it makes everyone smile. 🙂

I like the assortment of gift ideas you listed. Just bought a new air fryer. Also had an Air fryer that was old and needed to be replaced. I'm with you Adelina I love my hands to pot. .. had three of them. Granted each one was different but they all served its function. Only thing is is last month two of them broke down and died. So I ordered another instant pot. Because the one functioning pot has Teflon on it. This one only gets used for processing my cold yogurt in mason jars. Or I use a pot and pot to cook something. Love the little drying rack.
Yes, I prefer the stainless steel pot.
Hi, I think one of the issues with people watching and not subscribing is that they are watching on a smart tv. On them you can’t ‘like’ or ‘subscribe’. TH-cam needs to address this issue. I had to jump on my iPad to ‘like’ this video. Happy Holidays.

Love all of your ideas! I have never seen the steamer basket for the instapot, or the round "cupcake" liners. I also never thought of mashed potatoes in the instapot. I don't like cooking them on the stove because I don't want them to boil over. The view out your window is just beautiful. Merry Christmas!!

I came across giving an experience a few years ago and I love that idea. There are people I know who can't understand the concept and will be offended if they don't get a gift. So I just adjust accordingly.

Loved your video today ! I was so excited to get a gift idea for my daughter in law… the headband speaker was perfect ! BUT, Amazon wouldn’t let me order it because it’s based out of Canada . I’m in California and tried to send it to Encinitas Ca . I’ve just spent the last 40 minutes trying to add her address to my delivery options . Tried all different ways but the computer just wouldn’t do it ! Darn ! I wanted you to know I appreciate your efforts but being in Canada 🍁 is a problem for ordering .

Great Xmas ideas! You’ve given me several suggestions I’m going to get for myself and others. I love practical gifts, no trinkets for me thanks. I always tell my kids don’t buy me anything, I’ve got all I need, just to be together or call me for those living far away is all I need. Will you consider doing a cookbook? If so, count me in for one.

I bought the zero water pitcher because of your test. I love it except I think the filters only last a little more than a month. The filter is also a little costly but I say I want the best tasting water. How often do you find that you have to replace your zero water filters? Just curious.

A: I have a one pot question for you. I have used my tried and true Aroma pot for years, but wanted to try one of the bigger pots to use in food prepping. The Aroma has teflon type coating and nothing ever scorches or burns. I tried using my One Pot three times and it scorched and burned the contents all three times. Whats the deal? I've never heard you remark about special care or problems with scorching. I'll give the designers kudos as the illumination panel lights up BURNED on the panel. What could I have done differently? Operator error or problems with the heating element? Got any clues?
@Just Maria Sometimes you need to put water or broth up to your 2nd knuckle if you imagine bending your finger so it touches that knuckle. Otherwise just use a cup or so of water or broth.
Also never, ever put tomatoes in 1st; you’ll definitely get a burn fest from that. Good luck. I’m sure Adelina has more ideas for you.
Hi! I prefer the stainless steel pot but you have to be sure to have enough liquid. And if you sauté first, make sure you deglaze the pot with broth or water and scrap the bottom so you don't get the burn message I've only had that error message 3 times in all the yeas I've been using mine. Good luck!

I will usually gift cash. The only weddings I've attended in the last 15 yrs have been for nephews, nieces or kids of very good friends.
But I have a tiny kitchen
I love everything about this. I’ve decided not to celebrate this year. I want nothing and I am not in the right place to fake happiness I don’t feel. I’m comfortable with my decision. Next year will different.
