Klashnekoff - 'Tim Westwood Has Lost His Essence' (2008 Interview)

Klashnekoff is without doubt one of the most important and revered rappers the UK has ever produced. There's always been some level of controversy that has followed his career but when an artist is operating at such a high level, maybe that's not a surprise, however you can never question his talent as an artist. We feel he was at the very induction of the changing scene in the early 2000's here in the UK and is someone who inspired many who followed and went on to achieve high levels of success within the Grime scene, and let's not forget he also inspired many underground Hip Hop artists.
Controversy has also always followed Tim Westwood so again it's no surprise that Klashnekoff is voicing his opinion on Westwood based on a direct experience he had, one that I myself can relate to, not just with Westwood, but with other lesser known DJs. We've heard many talking the same thing for many years so is Klashnekoff addressing an issue that represents many of us here.
We've uploaded this particular video as we feel this is just one of the problems that needs to be addressed if we're to garner some level of respect for our contribution as artists. We're not asking for much, just a little respect and a fair shot.

Surprise surprise at least it’s all coming out now, now the elders have been left hung out to dry. We are starting to piece together how & why it all went wrong. Westwood will be written out of our culture like black people are written out of history🤣 oh the irony.
