I've been waiting for this one, I love my 92s! it's probably the closest thing I will ever find to a "do everything" ski I can literally go from ripping groomers in the resort one day to off trail at Rocky Mountain National park the next. Hey I’ve been binge watching your videos for the past few days, really like your honesty and not going with the flow of every other ski reviewer. It was getting hard to make a choice when everyone says the same stuff and doesn’t offer critical commentary of their skis. Could I ask you for some quick comments to help me choose between the qst 92 and kore 93. Im in europe and am looking forward to a bunch of fresh snow but still most of my time is spent on piste. I am 180cm 80-85kg so around 6ft and 170-180 i think. Intermediate to advanced. Trying to get good carving performance for a ski of this category, i understand the sacrifices it makes. The kore sounds really promising but it being so lightweight makes me question it. Ive mainly skied race skis before but am excited to venture out! Thank you!
Great review! I've got roughly 8 days on the QST 92 and absolutely love them. I have a Montero AX as my front-side option on groomer days, so the QST gets a lot of use on days where I don't know where I am going. As you mention Elliot, they love skiing trees and moving around in tight spots, but surprisingly will carve quite nicely. I agree 100% that they are not as precise as some other skis in the category, but they definitely more than make up for that in other areas.
I tried this ski last year, and you're gonna think its weird but, if I was to own this ski, it would be my park ski 😂 because since I'm a hard charger, this is not the ski I would use if I want to carve, cause I don't like to savor my turn, I like to fucking send my turns 😂 the Stance fits my style much more than the QST. Thks again for the content mate! Keep it up!
I have 1.5 mill vertical on my 92. This is an accurate description of the ski. Even the cons. Wait until you ski the 24/25 Stance 90… it’s absolutely incredible.
It's a Swiss army knife. Great you finally did the QST92 review 😊. I bought my 22/23 QST 92 in 184 ..at a super value price. Try finding a cheaper ski on the market that can do all this one can. Agree its not as precise and but extremely forgiving and smooth. Does everything pretty well enough. I ridden it 21days this season in Japan powder and they performed great even in thigh waist deep pow.. headed to Hakuba soon..but ill im taking my Atomic this trip. But switching between my Atomic Vantage 90Cti..I think I'd stay with Atomic Maverick derivative next ski...I find the Atomic just di much faster to initiate a turn once you pressure the tip. So much so it feels much more agile even through the woods even though it has less rocker and tails can lock you in more. I don't know how to describe it but ..I feel more connected to the Atomics edge...like I can feather it much more easily. And it doesn't lag behind in the woods n powder because its so agile. My other favourite carver this year is the Head E-original..
Great review! I tried the 92 (and the 98, the 106 and the Blank). Unfortunately I found the turn initiation to be too slow as you described. For me it was not just a minor downside. I tried it on firm (east coast) conditions. It’s probably a lot better on good snow
Mine came in the mail yesterday. Thanks for the tip that these and the Atomics are economical and sizes are available off season, like now. I got a pair shipped to me with Maine's 6% tax all for 349 dollars out of a Missoula ski shop. I do want to improve my carving too but I m 60 % off pist. I m thinking about an Elan ripstick 96 at 180, or QST 92 at 176. On sale, they end up at the same price in europe as Elan get a higher discount, so no difference there. What do you think about the lenght for my size? The bonafide at 187 were way to long that why I would take now a way shorter ski. Also they were so heavy and so hard to turn un steep and ungroomed terrain that the lightweight of the Elan is very apealing too me. But I ve read they re not good god skier over 200 lbs like me... What could you recommend? Thanks a lot!

I mean in really deep snow, like over a foot that's probably the case for most skis that width, but compared to most skis in this width range, the QST line floats very well. 2nd only maybe to the Mavericks just bc they have Horizon Tech.
Ok, thanks!@@RicketySkiReviews
Great reviews. Im Not a fan of the QST line - they feel like water skis to me. But, you did get me hooked on the Atomic Mavericks with your review. Now THAT is a ski. even at 88 the Mavs are the way to go. they do it all - and they are a carving machine!!!! QSTs are over rated and dont do anything well.
