I went here back in June 1997. Aside from Natural bridge Caverns its the only other cave I know of in Texas. I'll be honest, It does kind of remind of Carl's Bad Caverns in New Mexico. Just as pretty. Just not near as big. But well worth the visit.
I have been to Natural Bridge Caverns in Texas. Amazing. Sonora is next on my list. If yiou have never been to the cave, go! It it a mind blowing beauty.
Unfortunately, someone vandalized/stole the butterfly formation some years ago. I think that may be another reason they don't allow coats and sweaters.
I was just there yesterday, apparently someone had an item with them that they were not supposed to wear while going into the cave, the girl working there for 2 months apparently didn't notice the woman with the fanny pack on until we started walking down the cave and they took our group out immediately, they pushed everyone for one person, I was upset because I have been here many times and I knew the cave tour was much much longer. I went to the gift shop asking why they just took my money and didn't show me the cave.i had to wait several hours so I can go on another tour.would have been nice if they explaed the rules to everyone more clearly and I wish they were not so shady when someone does break the rules excort the rule breakers out not the whole group.

It's Joel 6/27/15 right now I just got my permit I'm on summer break and it's like 4:30 and I can't go to sleep..9.9 I'm excited for tomorrow because I'm going to the gym with Kasey early in the morning and then we are going to eat breakfast after then we are going back to my house to relax and watch movies well bye myself 👋🏽talk to you later:)

We got some around Austin, one inner space cavern in Georgetown. Several caves in TX. Bracken Bat Cave in San Antonio, etc.
I've been there! I remember some of the amazing formations and huge chambers.
