Anyone who wants to make this but doesn't know hook or yarn size . I used fingerings weight ( a size 1 yarn) and a 2mm hook ( 🇺🇸 us) it worked up the same measurements as the video . It is very beautiful 💕

That would have been my guess , but it would not be fun for me if I was getting down to it and realized I was wrong about szs.

I just wanted to tell you that these are some of my favorite tutorials. I have made your hat so many times I have lost count. I would really really really like it. If you made some more since I started making your hats I now have a granddaughter and I would really enjoy making her some of these. Could you please upload some more of these lace hats maybe some lace berets or something?

very good video but frustrating because in your videos on these summer hats you don't mention what yarn you are using or size hook! It would be helpful if you explained if it was a thread yarn and if so what size....

Thank you for the tutorial!!! I'm a beginner but managed just fine to make it. Had to stop/'rewind' zillion times but it was worth it. :-)

I got size 20 cotton and just can't work it so I'm using 2 threads, one dark blue and one dark green. So far I like the combination, but with 2 threads it's easy to loose one.😮 but the 2 are starting to twist, so I think it'll get easier.
I was worried that I wouldn't be able to do anything with this lovely thread. I'm doing this pattern because it seems easier that the last one I made, using what I guess is a # 20.
      Thank you.

I wanted to edit one of my comments, but it's gone.
    I'll say it here.
Since I'd never bought crochet thread before, I bought #30 online, not knowing how small it would be(and it seems I also purchased size 20. I went by colour, lol) Not wanting to waste them, since I was unable to work with such small thread I decided to try combining them. Looks like it's working for me and the 2 colours together are really nice a marine blue with a dark turquoise. The turquoise is the #30, the blue 20.
I'll be more careful in the future.

I love your hats but needed something a little warmer and more laundry friendly. I did your pattern but started with eight petals in the very beginning. Everything else about the pattern stays the same so I was able to follow you. I also used a sport weight acrylic yarn with a 2.5mm hook. I think it will be fine for my adult daughter as a gift. Thank you for all of your tutorials!

everyone seems to be asking the same question (what size hook and yarn) please answer. Apart from that is a good tutorial. Your hats are great,

You said chain 5 at the end of row. Shouldn't it be 9?

  • @colly1952

The stich names are confusing for me because I've been following French language patterns and what you call treble stich is a "double bride" ( in Fr. there are 2 different words) for stich. But I've finally worked out the differece. So I have to work my brain as well as my fingers, lol.

  • @colly1952
    @colly1952 ปีที่แล้ว

In the 1rst row you said to repeat 8 times: that gives me 10 clusters altogher. I counted your and you have 12. How come? Should I add 2
Well I did, as I was only starting. Seems ok.
