Let me brief you the background of this song. In 1960's, Just before China forcibly occupied Tibet, their Religious leader Dalai Lama left Tibet along with thousands of his followers and reached India. Govt of India gave them shelter in India and even built a township named Delhousie in Himachal Pradesh state India. That is the reason that they are indebted to India and so was this song "Thank you India". Now lakhs of Tibtans live peacefully in India without asking for any govt benefit and without building their Temple by occupying public place. They do not do prayers on public road and no nonsense anywhere.

Hazika dear, this is a Tibetan lady singer ……Tibet was occupied by China in the early fifties and their guru Dalai Lama had to escape with his followers and took refuge in India. They have been living in India since the last 70+ years ! They live in Dharamshala which is in Himachal Pradesh ( u were right on that point)……..India provided them safety and has looked after them since that time and they are today 90,000 in numbers.
By the way , Dalai Lama ji received the Nobel Peace prize in 1989 for his work towards getting Tibet back from China in a peaceful manner !

Tibet was an independent country before 1959 when it was illegally occupied by China similarly like POK, that was part of India's J&K, was illegally occupied by Pakistan in 1947. Both territories, under illegal occupations, are awaiting liberation. As both China & Pakistan are in same trade of illigally occupying other's territory, that is why they are very closed friends being in same trade of occupation. CPEC joint project of China & Pakistan, that is why, runs through these illegally occupied territories. Thousands of Tibetans took refuge in India to protect themselves from invading Chinese army in 1959, who were settled in Dharmshala of Himachal Pradesh by Indian govt with all due honour to them. They are Buddhists by religion and are very peace loving, deciplned people. They also have formed their govt in exile with temporary HQ in Dharmshala. Dalai Lama, Tibetans highest religious leader, is also based in Dharmshala. 🤔🤔🤔
