Honestly, I never took any pictures to see if it did. I saw it and immediately went to exchange it. Then, when it came back, I did the research and found out why it happened, which led me to make this video.
@BrooklynJimmie from what I've learned, Sony doesn't update the firmware on their cameras unless there's some major issue. Things should be good, though, with this fix, and it happens very rarely.
Did the spot come out on the pictures also? With my Nikon I only has to clean the sensor a few times.

@WIH_R_C oh OK. I got you. Maybe they'll be a firmware fix so you won't have to adjust it again.
