Has one of the best dry downs of any fragrance ever, smelt it in harrords when on holiday thought it was a pass - 12 hours later on a flight back to Australia I realise I absolutely have to get this which was difficult 7 years ago as roja wasn’t sold widely so I spent a fortune on postage but worth it though 2 sprays max required so a bottle will last forever
Wore this today 91 degrees in nyc five sprays. Absolutely beautiful scent got two compliments from co workers. You can wear this ever day In any weather as long as you control you sprays. No fragrance is like this. The dry down is so nice

This is a majic, honestly it collects everything from East from Amber and the spices and make it easy to wear to all people,, its a situation for not only the new people in fragrance world,, its a shock for even in fragrance community 🙄
I just sampled this after hemming and hawing over the Pierre de Velay Ouds, ie # 1 and The Oud, which were both too leather/saffron forward and 1 dimensional for me (although I have a few of the collection, which nI I love: 4, 9, 23, 25, and Essence Rare). The PdV Ouds lack the complexity and grandeur of my other Ouds from Xerjoff and other brands. But Amber Aoud blew me away! Amazing complexity and it really evolves. You think the fig is the centre and star of the show, but no! It gets even better, as you say. Going to get a 7.5 mL at least. Thanks for the tip!
Its potent on clothes but not on skin imo. It smells strong out the gate. But then settles down rather quickly close to skin. The AP version is another animal though

You are correct! I still can smell the Drydown after 11 hours!

Not sure what you’re expecting out of it but to me it was potent enough with a strong long lasting sillage. Haven’t worn AP in a minute we shall see!
