No, you can’t just use public property or school grounds for whatever you want after hours. Only authorized uses are permitted. Different school districts and municipalities have different rules about what is allowed and how rigorously the permitted use policy is enforced, but fights over usage of school property can get involved. In the school district where I live, some parks and school grounds are right next to each other. For a long time, the general public has been able to use the school grounds adjacent to the parks and athletic fields outside of school hours. More recently, the school district has been trying to put up new fences for security reasons, which will change the long-standing and originally intended shared use. It’s been a big public discussion for over a year now.

The problem with blaming Chuck for pushing Jimmy back to his former self is that if it wasn't Chuck something else would have eventually made Jimmy snap back into his former self eventually. What if Kim had betrayed Jimmy or some other significant event happened to Jimmy? As much as I like Jimmy, Chuck is right. Jimmy was always straddling the edge of returning to his former self, and anything could have sent him over.

It’s easy to write off chuck for being an a-hole. He absolutely is but the show clearly goes out of its way to present him as a mentally ill person struggling to live his normal life. what Jimmy does to him is extremely cruel. With that said everything Kim says is spot on and it’s a testament to the deep layered writing how flawlessly they’re able to pull it off. You see everyone’s perspective and they are all in the right in their own way. I love all the performances but Michael McKean is so good as jimmys adversary. He plays it perfectly.

He's a textbook example of cognitive dissonance. I personally don’t feel bad about Chuck (at least not for the 1216 stuff, yes for Chuck hitting his head). Kim got Mesa Verde fair and square which was crucial for her and Jimmy’s joint venture, as both are paying rent. That is a chance for Jimmy and Kim to make it on their own, all Chuck had to do was step aside and his brother would be able to make it without going full Saul. But no, Chuck couldn’t stand Jimmy being successful as a lawyer so he did all he could to take Mesa Verde from them using all the power of HHM. How is that fair? He had it coming and I do not feel bad for him at all. The thing Jimmy did wrong was going behind Kim’s back not hitting back at Chuck. I understand what Jimmy did was illegal, but not everything illegal is unethical and not everything unethical is illegal.

    • @dinochookproductions5190

@@dinochookproductions5190 ^^ This. No law firm is going to let a lucrative client go without making any effort to convince them to stay, and nothing that Chuck said in his effort to convince Kevin to stay with HHM was untrue or shady - it was definitely spin in favor of HHM’s strengths, and he was throwing shade and doubt on Kim, but not false or unethical. Chuck wasn’t necessarily showing any animosity toward Kim or toward Jimmy (who wasn’t even directly involved.)

    • @MLennholm

The character dynamics of Jimmy & Kim vs Walt & Skyler can't even be compared, so that seems a little weird to hold over Skyler's character, especially given that Skyler was a downright victim of Walt.
