Thank you for sharing this video.i was going to book at Doubletree by Hilton. But, because of your video,I will book at Paramount Hotel for my trip in March. Greeting from Bermuda 🇧🇲.
Very honest review. One of the thing that i liked in your channel is being honest. You always asked yourself. If you will go back or not? Very clear and honest!
Stayed here last year and was shocked by the size of the room (double room). I’ve stayed at tons of Manhattan hotels and i understand size is always a thing but this one was tiny. The bathroom was tiny and had zero counter space but the room itself was beyond small.
I stayed here with my son for a few days a year ago and there's definitely better options for the price point. The bathroom was soooo small (in the normal non-ADA rooms), like knees hit the door when sitting on the toilet small. The rest of the room was fine wrt size though. But worst was how insanely loud it was being right next to Times Square, not actually quieting down until 2-3a. The blackout shades block the light from outside but not the noise. Also no coffee in the room was a huge downer. I don't expect it to be great coffee but being able to have a cup before you head out is nice, but if you're not a "need my coffee in the morning to function" person then that may not matter to you. I stay at hotels in the city for a week every month for work so im well familiar with how small some of them can be. The outside noise there though is what really got me.
That's true. The construction in the morning was the cherry on top. I stayed at the Hotel Edison as well as the Riu Plaza Times Square next. Will upload them hopefully within the week. I'd say, Riu Plaza Times Square is the best so far.
I stayed here in april 2024 it was good hotel to stay but rooms are too small best part is time square so close just 2mins walk i loved it Newyork was my dream to visit and i finished❤️😍
Thank you for your video, I really like your videos because everything you need to know about the hotel is what you say and show in your videos. For me it is important that there are no bedbugs because nowadays many hotels are infected. Big hello from UK.😊
For me, they did an incidental for 20% of the total stay but it went back to my card 3-5 business days after I check out. Here is the link for the $35 plus tax resort fee. www.nycparamount.com/about/faq
We were there about 4 years ago. One of the worst hotel ever. The AC was broke and they gave us a fan and would not give us another room even though new people were still checking in. The room was small with the bed about a foot from the door. The bathroom was about a third of the size of the one in this video with electrical plate covers missing. Maybe their renovation improve this.
@@1ShotTravel that is shocking! Is that normal for New York? Was about to book this last night but illl hold off… do all hotels in the city charge this Thanks
@@glasgowbhoy8711this is a pretty normal additional fee for new york city. There is a list of hotels without resort fees but I dont have it. What you can do is look to book on the hotels own website and before you check out, they will display all charges upon check out. here is the link for the paramount hotel FAQ www.nycparamount.com/about/faq
I’ve been here and the location was great BUT…the hotel is overpriced, steamers replace irons, no fridge, no microwave, and the heat didn’t work. Tip: the towels are hidden behind the mirror in the bathroom. Love your reviews!
That’s fine. It’s an ok hotel. If you are considering a change, hotel Edison has the same price point (literally beside it) w free grab and go breakfast.

Glad it was helpful! Just remember, I booked the ADA room so its much bigger than a regular room.
It is a super cute hotel in an old building but they have dim hallways for a club effect and they have the smallest rooms that I have ever been in.

Loving what I'm seeing!
Why are the sheets moving at 16:58 ?
😮😮
Thanks for the info

What do you guys think? Would you stay here in your future travels in New York City? 😊
Does the Paramount have any surprise undesirable 'resort fees'?
Yes, unfortunately. $40 additional per night.
Thanks for the answer....theyre well and truly off the list now 😡
@@SportingEinstein we just made another video of the Hotel Edison today. Still editing it though :)

Just want to say thanks for the video. I booked my hotel here for a couple nights as I’m visiting New York from California.
Glad it was helpful! Have a great day!
How was it ? I just booked and I am a little regretful😢
@@MS-fo3pk to be honest I was just happy to have a room. But the room is very small sized honestly
I am going next week. How much was the hotel tax?
Plus 15-16% Tax and $40.00 - Resort Fee
Laura please update me I just book and I am nervous it is clean ?
@@MS-fo3pk yes. The room that I booked was clean. It’s not bad really.
Was there a security/incidental deposit to pay when you checked in or just the resort fee?
For me, they did an incidental for 20% of the total stay but it went back to my card 3-5 business days after I check out.

Oh no. Yes, thats true :(
Que tipo de habitación reservaste?
This is an full size bed - ADA compliant or Wheelchair access room. This is why the room is big.
It says online $18 per night resort fee but you say 40… what is correct lol
They charged me $40.16 per night 😊

@@1ShotTravel I appreciate the help thanks a lot
USPS postal chutes are original to the building. All offices and hotels had them since the beginning of the 1900's

Was breakfast included with your stay or did you have to pay for it at the hotel or another place
Unfortunately the rate does not include breakfast. We ate outside of the hotel. Tons of good restaurants and delis around the area :)
I’m thinking on going is it a good hotel?
should be ok. the rooms there at the Paramount Hotel are small though just fyi.

Bed bugs?
@@JesseOlin-u5r no bugs. You’re good 👍🏻
That hotel room looks horrible. Looks like a halfway house.
It was a welfare hotel that was bought out 30 years ago and made trendy as are several others.

I stayed at the THE NEW YORKER HOTEL NYC. Is it worth it?? 🥂✨[4K]

Personally I wound't send anyone to stay at the Paramount. Horrendous. You were lucky to just find a hair.
