The guy that explains all this is doing a pretty good job. I know the feeling to just dump EVERYTHING I know about 40k on a person and leaving their brains completely melted but what the dude does is a better way of Introducing the world. what aelrik describes the iron warriors is correct somewhat, they use siege warfare and siege engines to reduce your numbers greatly, and then they go in for the killing blow with infantry and siege machines. The attrition style warfare he told about the Iron warriors is not really what they are good at, to look to a legion that is really great at that you have to look at the Death Guard who uses attrition warfare, and a very slow, excrutiating slow grinding troops into paste, while also using diseases to enemies. the reason why the nightlords recruited from gangsters and other villiany, was becuase in the start it was the only healthy-er speciemen on Nostramo (their homeplanet) and later as these gangsters came into the legion they started recruiting from their own gangs, as a form of expanded nepotism. The spell he is talking about is called The Rubrik of Ahriman, it was to stop the mutations of the thousand sons, but it also bound their souls to their armor and made their bodies turn to dust. Magnus told Ahriman that he arent allowed to cast this spell, but Ahriman did it anyway and was more or less thrown out by Magnus.

So yes, he shows his love for the trapped (and oddly saved) Eldar goddess of fertility, life, and healing by poisoning her with the worst diseases he can imagine.

To quickly go over the Demon polyglot: *Main Rivals* Tzeentch hates Nurgle & his mood, but is secretly afraid that *IF* he's not constantly doing something, he'd turn into Nurgle & be sad Khorne is upset at Slaanesh because (s)he takes breaks & relaxes from time to time *Side Relationships* Tzeentch & Khorne hate each other, Tzeentch would stab you in the back, while Khorne would stab you in the face. Tzeentch & Slaanesh do talk to each other, but T is all, "ew, cooties." Nurgle loves everyone & doesn't let Tzeentch get under his skin. He's happy that Khorne & Slaanesh are being productive, but feels Slaanesh is too inexperienced/reckless so he watches her. I only have one thing to add about khorne. He recently stood up from his lovely skull throne, walked over to his awesome fridge full of blood sacrifices, and reached into the ice cold back where he keeps his drinks, only to pull out the coldest most refreshing can of 'whoop-ass' that he owned, and cracked that f##ker over the imperiums head like it was nothing. He is by far and away right now the most powerful chaos god in existence.
I think daddy emperor through hands with grandpapa nurgle and gave him the smoke to save Robot gullibleman while he was corpse mode so I think the emperor is at least an equal to the chaos gods (and maybe the chaos god of tyranny himself)
When it comes to Chaos they all also have a certain Visual trope; Khorne is very much classic Satan with Hellfire and hooves and horns, Nurgle is very much Zombies and bugs that feed on the dead (Maggots, flies and hornets), Slaanesh is very HellRaiser with leather and scorpion pinchers and stingers and finally Tzeentch is very Chuthulu with tentacles and shadowy robes and weird creatures that don’t really follow from an evolutionary understanding like Manta Rays covered in teeth or Vulture Men hunched over almost painfully.

To answer the early question as to whether the Emperor or the Ruinous Powers are stronger the answer is… both, depending on circumstance. The reasoning is… complicated. Within the material plane it would be the Emperor, his power may be Warp-based but his existence is physical so he can manifest his power freely in reality. Within the Warp it’s possible that any one of the Chaos Gods could turn him into a chew toy since that’s their dimension where they aren’t constrained. There’s a reason why daemons, especially powerful ones can only be summoned for short periods of time and only through immense effort, sacrifice and rituals of significance. Reality is antithetical to them and they cannot manifest properly within it unless the boundary between the realms is saturated with the warp. The Gods meanwhile are so impossibly powerful or just raw concentrated Immaterial Things that there is practically no threshold of warp saturated space in reality for them to manifest as anything but a vision or to confer a blessing, not even in the Eye of Terror or Great Rift can they enter realspace. Within the Warp the Chaos Gods are as powerful as the title implies, the endless wars their followers fight are futile as should an enemy army actually provoke one of the gods into intervening directly they can just swat them into oblivion like a tabletop figure with whatever power seems fun to them, hence why they call it the Great Game. The Emperor, while powerful and wily would not fare well in a direct confrontation against them in their home turf.

Karl Franz is correct, you're mixing up the timeline. As stated, the Thousand Sons were always prone to mutation because their gene-seed was designed to be psychically potent and thus, unstable. So when they fell to Chaos, they were even more likely to mutate than the average marine.

@@dog_boy5123it's not much better for Khornates/ World Eaters. Their armor isn't actually red. That's uncountable layers of warp-mixed blood, often times usually quickly supplemented by additional coats from... well, anyone nearby who they can overpower, I guess.
The 5th chaos god Malal is known to be able to leave and be able to survive outside the warp
I only have one thing to add about khorne. He recently stood up from his lovely skull throne, walked over to his awesome fridge full of blood sacrifices, and reached into the ice cold back where he keeps his drinks, only to pull out the coldest most refreshing can of 'whoop-ass' that he owned, and cracked that f##ker over the imperiums head like it was nothing. He is by far and away right now the most powerful chaos god in existence.
I think daddy emperor through hands with grandpapa nurgle and gave him the smoke to save Robot gullibleman while he was corpse mode so I think the emperor is at least an equal to the chaos gods (and maybe the chaos god of tyranny himself)

When it comes to Chaos they all also have a certain Visual trope; Khorne is very much classic Satan with Hellfire and hooves and horns, Nurgle is very much Zombies and bugs that feed on the dead (Maggots, flies and hornets), Slaanesh is very HellRaiser with leather and scorpion pinchers and stingers and finally Tzeentch is very Chuthulu with tentacles and shadowy robes and weird creatures that don’t really follow from an evolutionary understanding like Manta Rays covered in teeth or Vulture Men hunched over almost painfully.

To answer the early question as to whether the Emperor or the Ruinous Powers are stronger the answer is… both, depending on circumstance.
The reasoning is… complicated.
Within the material plane it would be the Emperor, his power may be Warp-based but his existence is physical so he can manifest his power freely in reality.
Within the Warp it’s possible that any one of the Chaos Gods could turn him into a chew toy since that’s their dimension where they aren’t constrained.
There’s a reason why daemons, especially powerful ones can only be summoned for short periods of time and only through immense effort, sacrifice and rituals of significance.
Reality is antithetical to them and they cannot manifest properly within it unless the boundary between the realms is saturated with the warp.
The Gods meanwhile are so impossibly powerful or just raw concentrated Immaterial Things that there is practically no threshold of warp saturated space in reality for them to manifest as anything but a vision or to confer a blessing, not even in the Eye of Terror or Great Rift can they enter realspace.
Within the Warp the Chaos Gods are as powerful as the title implies, the endless wars their followers fight are futile as should an enemy army actually provoke one of the gods into intervening directly they can just swat them into oblivion like a tabletop figure with whatever power seems fun to them, hence why they call it the Great Game.
The Emperor, while powerful and wily would not fare well in a direct confrontation against them in their home turf.

• Tyranids: these guys are more-or-less along the lines of Alien. They have a Hive Mind but they Don't really Worship Chaos and there's this Massive Ship that's going around Eating up Entire Worlds where their Cults have Firmly Set up shop.
• The Tao: "A long time ago, The Imperium set out a Scout ship to Survey the Galaxy of Any Planets that would be Perfect for Allies or as Colonies as Man was Setting out amongst the stars. Well they came across a planet that just had a bunch of Blue-faced Baboons fighting Amongst themselves and the Area was deemed of Limits as it would be likely that the planet would Soon develop into a World of Savages. The Ship attempts to Warp out only for a Massive Warp Storm to Engulf the Ship and 2,000 Years later the Storm subsides only to reveal that what you last knew as Baboons had no become a Galactic Force with Equipment so advanced that the Imperium would be Left on it's knees. This is the Tao Empire, Range is their best Attack Damage so they can be very Squishy if you can get into Close Quarters combat with them." - Bricky.
• The Necrons: "Long before even the Tao had been originally discovered, there was a Race of People on a Planet far, Far away. They had been promised the Gift of Everlasted Life but were continually denied by what were known as 'The Old one's'. They soon managed to make it up to the little Spaceship and Took arms against the Old ones and Soon waged a war against them. The Old ones soon created Races to Help fight them off like the Eldar's, the Orcs and even the Tao, though we've seen how they went. The only thing the Dark One's could do was to Shut their Enemies in a Large, Rubrics Cube on the planet and hope that help would come. Several Millenia pass and then 2 Curious explorers come across the Cube and Open it up.... Only to be Incinerated by a Neon Green Beam that comes out from within. It is then that we see The Necrons!" - Bricky.
Yeah, these guys are like Gold/Platinum/Brass Covered Skeletons with Klingon Disrupter-Like Weapons. There's no way that you'll be getting close to deal with them with that kind of Firepower. These guys are even more Advanced than the Tao and Eldar put together.

that was also how magnus did nothing wrong, he had to get to the emperor fast but he wasnt picking up the interstellar phone
but he had to contact him now to save his sons because he was a caring father unlike the emperor
so he tried the webway to get to him as fast as possible and broke a few things doing that
now you might ask how did they name them thousand sons when the thousand surviving didnt happen yet

did he do something wrong? yes, but not in this instance, at least knowingly.
Karl Franz is correct, you're mixing up the timeline. As stated, the Thousand Sons were always prone to mutation because their gene-seed was designed to be psychically potent and thus, unstable. So when they fell to Chaos, they were even more likely to mutate than the average marine.
