    He comes from generations of Cantors. In respect of of his family heritage he does not have tattoos. He also removes all piercings when he goes home to see his grandfather. From what I understand, all the men in the group are very stand up and honorable men. No drugs, etc

    After David draimen's classical training as a cantor, he trained with a woman to perfect his vocal fry without hurting his voice. This cover is a master class, take a look at the original video as well, very impactful. He just got out of the hospital the day befor with a serious flu, which makes this performance even more astonishing.

    It's the way he transitions in and out of the vocal Fry so seamlessly with impressive control. He trained as a Cantor when young so he had an incredible foundation going into Heavy Metal. The best in his field who works with the best in Metal vocal coaching. This performance is quite a work of art all around and reminds me of Phantom of the Opera. You also have such a lovely voice my dear, I enjoyed your reaction✌❤😎

    Disturbed is a HEAVY METAL Band, and they are VERY good at that. But they also have done many covers of songs that are not Heavy Metal, and they don't try to change them to Heavy Metal. They are just AMAZING. A Heavy Metal Band made this Folk song sound amazing. Just imagine what they have done with other songs. It is definitely worth the look. (IMO) Great reactions to this Cover. And thank you for sharing with us.

His voice is incredible even after being in hospital the night before and still willing to go on stage because he didnt want to let anyone down. These kinds of reactions are my favorite when someone who really knows about music recognizes the talent of these singers. I've known Disturbed since my younger years, mostly from the song Down With the Sickness, and I always appreciated David's voice. One thing, that many don't understand, is that David never unveils upper teeth, unless looking for a distortion. This is important for a male singer (not for a lady due different anatomy) - when you reveal the upper teeth you are compressing your voice (shutting larynx down). Only some distortion mechanisms need that, not when singing a pure classical sound. Just look at Pavarotti singing a well coordinated tenor C with a great vibrato - small mouth, no expression. That is the goal every singer should have.

    • @michelleconcannon7584
      @michelleconcannon7584 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I always noticed Geoff Tate's teeth a lot, even his upper gums. Interesting!

    • @tonedeafsinger3936
      @tonedeafsinger3936 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@michelleconcannon7584 Another thing that people don't understand is a "forehead wrinkle". For example, if we talk about Pavarotti or any great classical tenor, you can see that there is a point when these wrinkles come out. These are natural markers for using certain muscles, like the expression of the upper teeth (gum). As the goal is a wonderful strong voice without effort, one must learn how to use many small muscles correctly. I always remember one Pavarotti's interview where he said that "one technical thing required 10 years of learning...". Maybe a bit of exaggeration, however I guess >50% true. The great voice is build on small perfectly handled blocks. A difficult work needing a right talent.

But you'll still get a good feel of her vocal talents.
    Also recommend NOT doing any prior research before the video. Methinks ye'll like Tatiana's performance.

    And he was so sick during this performance! He had the flu and a fever of 102!!! They were so scared that he'd pass out that they made him sit on the stool. And he needed assistance to leave the stage. But still an amazing performance!!!

    David Draiman was trained as a cantor and comes from a long line of cantors. He wasn't very well when he appeared on Conan's show. Paul Simon, who wrote this when he was 23 said that this is his favourite cover. Simon's version is looked at being a warning to us. Draiman's version is what happens when we don't listen to the warning.

    I am disappointed that this professional singer did not point out the elephant in the room: AutoTune. I hate that he needed AutoTune. But, it is still a great performance because the technical assistance doesn’t help all that much; just some minor pitch corrections; and, the control that he has in his still amazing voice commands the performance.

    Being an opera singer yourself, you’ll like, no, love, this one. Do a search for Barcelona by Freddie Mercury and Montserrat Caballé, and thank me later. 😊
