The 2 Minute Chen Guide: Skills, Items, Creeps & Game Plan (Patch 7.32c)

- Today I'm starting a new series of short guides and of course the first hero I'm doing is everyone's favourite inquisitor, Chen the Holy Knight. This Chen guide covers everything you need to know to get started on one of the most difficult heroes in Dota 2.
I'm now streaming here on TH-cam, so you can watch me play DotA and get your replays analysed on Wednesday at 7 PM CE(S)T and Friday at 8 PM CE(S)T. On Sunday at 3 PM CE(S)T I stream other games, such as AoE4.
In addition to these regular streams, I also sometimes stream at irregular times.

as a 700+ games chen player at 4.5k rank, i want to contest your idea of fulling penitence after holy persuasion (for the current patch). exceptional situations aside, divine favour helps greatly to chen's early game dominance in both laning and pushing phase after. plus, leveling it after penitence means (in avarage) getting your team +3 armor and +3 health regen after min 20 which is pretty useless and whatever. but getting it beforehand, especially if you have the advantage as a team crucially matters in terms of helping early push strat.

Chen is still very strong.
Why the extra damage and HP for creeps if we're going to be mainly using auras 20mins onward?
Because a little bit of extra slow is fairly weak at that stage as well and +dmg is great for pushing out sidelanes and taking objectives. But you can also go for the slow instead. Both talents are about equally mediocre.
What should I buy instead of Wraith Pact in 7.33?
Mek and Shard, then probably Holy Locket and/or Drum. Pipe is also a good candidate and of course you want to upgrade your Mek to Greaves.

how to use his teleport?
In early game send valuable creeps (e.g. Harpy) back to fountain when low HP, then recall them. Useful to get your creeps to follow when you TP somewhere. Can also be used to have creeps split push, then recall them to join in a fight or push.

Chen is too complex for 1 minute and vertical format is bad for dota content
@@JonGunnarssonDotA Maybe make TH-cam shorts about a single aspect of Chen. Then you can have more short videos. Short videos are being pushed more than normal videos by the TH-cam algorithm.
