Best bang for buck!! Bottom line it’s very practical affordable and performs very well can daily drive it low maint cost too it checks all the boxes and you can track day it too if you like after dropping kids off at the mall dad can go autocross it lol
@@postalpancho checked out your channel, all you do is go around talking shit about cars? Are you an enthusiast or a hater? Think about that for a bit...
Nice review. Just an FYI....the car is high revving. You really feel torque higher in the rpm's. So to truly feel the full potential of the car, you should switch to manual (paddle) shifting and run through the gears shifting as close to redline as possible. Totally different feel/experience than just leaving in automatic and pressing the gas.
The Hyundai Kona N is not available in Romania, which is quite a shame. The only Hyundai N models available in Romania are the i30N hatch and i30N Fastback. However, unlike the UK, Switzerland or other EU countries, there are no Hyundai N models available in the Netherlands. To me, it sucks that there are fewer options for Hyundai N models in Romania, and no options for N models in the Netherlands.
I always had a soft spot for Hyundai. It was my first car. I’ve been saving and waiting for either a manual Supra or a LR Defender, but man… The Kona N is such a tempting, cheaper alternative than the Supra & Defender, plus it hits with my nostalgia. And I rather like it’s more humbler and less maintenance-self than the other two. Made with humbler material so I can be a little more carefree than panicking over every nick & scratch. I’m a relatively simple dude who wishes he had style… so maybe I should listen to The Rock and just know my role… Besides, maybe the Kona N can very well be my poor man’s Supra/Defender all in one simpler vehicle. One thing I would miss is the Stick Shift. Too bad the U.S. didn’t get the Manual, AWD Kona N like Australia I believe has. Anyway, prolly gonna save up in the end, but I appreciate the feature of a car that is on my shortlist. 🤙🏼
It’s such an odd choice for the full N car treatment lol … but love mine.. after many years of golf gtis .. wanted to try something different.. and this is a fun little box !
th-cam.com/video/Sjl8R_0rDGo/w-d-xo.html Here's my review of the manual Integra. I'd say they both have a lot to offer for similar money. This feels quicker and makes more noice. Probably similar practicality. Integra definitely handles better. Cool cars to cross shop for sure
@BrosFOURRSpeed Performance tests have already proven this to be significantly faster and better handling per lap times than the Integra. If you're talking about the Integra Type S, that's a different story, but also going to cost you another 20k.
@philipwood8776 I mean, it's true, performance wise they aren't on the same level. I will say though, the no rear vents in the KN is pretty ridiculous, especially if you live somewhere with hot summers or cold winters.
At that price I’d move up to a Mazda CX-90 3.3 inline 6 - at least that way you don’t get an abundance of plastic like the Kona - and get a German luxury feel.
The CX-90 is certainly a more luxurious vehicle, but it isn't nearly as fast nor does it handle anywhere near the level of the Kona N. Not even comparable vehicles really.

Yeah I did enjoy zipping around town with it! Its a fun quirky car
Oh my gosh!!! This will be my first car bro.
Good choice!
I’m so sorry 😢
Be careful man they're fast. Take it easy maybe take a few professional driving courses

Love the way that exhaust sounds at the start of the video. Looks like a pretty fun ride
It's a sporty little car!
It sounds very powerful

I drove the car both ways in the video. It's fun to zip around

Definitely does have the "throw your back into the seat fast" spec checked.
Its pep. But its not a fast car like real sports cars

Does the Kona have a rear fog light? In the EU and some Asian countries, the Kona N and the regular Kona gets one reverse light.
I think they are just running lights
@@BrosFOURRSpeed No, what I mean by that is: the driver's side reverse light robbed by a red incandescent bulb next to the turn signals!
Any chance you can review the elantra n? :D
If they send us one! That would be cool!
Curious how you would compare this to the Integra with the stick!

indépendant rear or torsion
N0 vents in the rear? Gonna suck to sit back there in the hot heat...No awd? Even the $29,000 dodge hornet has vents in the rear and Awd
Yeah a bummer to not see those. Makes a big difference having rear vents
The Hornet does have some better features, but the overall performance and fun factor isn't anywhere close to the KN.
