  • It's here!! The first 5K video on this channel!! #GoProHero10Black
Also for the first time, this video was edited in Final Cut Pro!
We travel from eastbound I-10 (just past the Deck Park Tunnel) and exit onto AZ SR51 [Piestewa Freeway (formerly Squaw Peak Freeway)]. As we travel through Central Phoenix, we head into the beautiful Dreamy Draw area where we are greeted with majestic mountain views. Once through the Dreamy Draw, we exit onto eastbound Shea Blvd where the video ends at the 36th St. intersection.

Ух ты, какая погода! Такое чистое, красочное видео! У нас тоже выглянуло солнышко, снег начал таять. В воздухе чувствуется весна. Удачи Вам.

Thanks. Unfortunately, I didn’t realize that Final Cut Pro doesn’t have a true 16:9 aspect ratio for 5K output. Gonna have to figure that out before the next video.

@@WanderingAroundAZ I know for mine on Resolve, I had to create a custom timeline as 5120 × 2880.

Wow!!! This looks AMAZING!! No overheating issues or anything even though you were on 5K60 for such a long time? I definitely need to upgrade my Hero8!! This footage looks so beautiful! Have you tried the Hero10 at dusk yet?

Thank you 😀It did overheat where the video ended even though I had the defrost vents blowing air up onto the windshield. I have another chain of clips on the drive home that is about 10-15 minutes longer and the GoPro didn't overheat. The difference is that about a third of the way into the drive, I opened the sunroof and cracked some of the windows to get more air moving around the inside of my vehicle. Both times though, I did not have the battery in the GoPro and I left the battery door open during filming. @Adventureswithtcs316 said he has a fan in his vehicle that blows on the GoPro and he never has an overheating issue. And he records hours of video at a time on his trips. I'll probably get a small USB powered fan for my car when I' m filming in the future. I'm sure if you had more air movement, your GPH8 would be just fine.

@@WanderingAroundAZ Good idea!! I do have a battery powered fan I could try!

@@scenicjax6402 Also, I didn't mention that this 10 minute video is actually the end of a 30 minute drive. There are about 15 minutes of clips before this portion, so it actually went about 25 minutes before overheating. And this is 5K 60fps. Since your Hero 8 I believe can only do 5K 30fps, it will probably perform better with proper air circulation since it will be taking half as many pictures per second. If you try it out with your fan, let me know how it works out. We will still have nice enough weather to drive with the windows down for at least another month or two, so I may wait to get a fan for mine.

@@WanderingAroundAZ That's great!! Unfortunately, the 8 only goes up to 4K, but it can at least do 4K60, but every time I tried it, it always overheated within about 10 minutes. I'll definitely try the air blowing on it!
