    This is the best channel in the whole world.. I've watched dozens of videos in which they just use the term -"Pascal's law" and start explaining this.. but they don't explain why it happens ( i wanna say that they don't explain Why liquids exert pressure in all directions) but in this video.. everything have been explained so clearly that nothing is remain unexplained and no confusion is there.. I'm really thankful to you -KHAN ACADEMY.. you are a lot much better than other channels (byjus, Vedantu, unacademy, etc) .... You cleared all my doubts... And all that i want to say now is just "Thank you"... ❤️❤️

    Great but Water Cubes are not being squeezed since Water is essentially incompressible.

    Amazing video and explaination thanks , but I was wondering we know that liquid applies horizontal pressure proportional to weight now but how do we know it is *equal to* the weight of water coulumn ?

      Great question. If you consider of a 'cubical piece of water' inside a water body (as shown in the video), the only way that cubical piece can maintain it's shape would be if the pressure from all sides were exactly equal. If the vertical pressure was, say, more than horizontal pressure, then that piece of the cube would ted to flow horizontally. (Remember fluids tend to flow from a region of high pressure to low pressure - that's what makes them a fluid). And we know our 'cube' is not flowing because the water is at rest.
      Hence the pressure from all sides must be equal. Let me know if you have more questions.

    Sir can you explain it at molecular levels. The molecules are always flowing so how they at bottom generate more pressure because the molecules in whole liquid flowing with same rate

      Molecules throughout the liquid aren't flowing at the same rate.. but they do at the same level in a liquid.. the pressure is a lot much more at the bottom because it's bearing the weight of all the molecules of the liquid above it... But at the surface of that liquid the pressure is negligible because above the surface there comes just air pressure which is not much as compared to the liquid pressure.. so the pressure at the bottom is more and so the liquids flows with higher speed or rate at bottom.. and too with a lower rate at the surface.. hope u got it..

    What is the cause of pressure in liquids ? Is it due to only collision of the molecules? By this reason, the molecules are colliding more aggressively at the bottom than the top. I think that the cause is due to repulsive forces between molecules.
