Yeah. It shows how sweet and caring Steve is.😍😍😍 Don’t you agree?.:) Michael B. Jordan seems like a sweetheart as well!😍😍😍 He carries himself so well in this interview and is so articulate. Same with Steve.:)
Punch might have been 40% but Michael leaned into that punch so ofc it would be that much more harder. Even pro boxers could get knocked out by a jab if they come straight into it.
Nothing impressive about it. Causing the head to flick back is incredibly easy when the opponent is not offering any resistance. It's even easier when said opponent is meant to go down by script, cause they're shooting a movie and not fighting. Obviously he was instructed to accompany the punch with his head, thus reducing the damage from an already light punch and also ensuring a good visual effect for the film.
It's true. Weathers freaked out on set because Dolph roughed him up. Stallone encouraged Dolph to hit him for real in one of their sessions and ended up getting a punctured lung.
@@ffryan Didn't puncture his lung, but smashed his heart against his rib-cage so it started swelling. Four days in intensive care, don't let professional fighters hit you....

MBJ a truly a brilliant actor. Evolving through the journey for action figures and real drama. REAL punch real scars. NOW that hit flew across the ring. A star seeing stars. WOW
Not to take away Michael B Jordan's athleticism, but it is a scene that's planned out and probably with some rehearsal especially on how to fall to make it look realistic. Doesn't take away from the fact that the hit still probably hurt like a mf, even if it was only 40%. Still, they have to make sure the star of the movie doesn't get injured to the point they cannot perform their parts. Look at what happened to Tom Cruise and the ankle incident.
I loved that movie. When him and Tony at the Pre fight press conference, I legit thought it would end in a real brawl LOL. The bike and ATV running scene was also DOPE!
Well no ofc not, but it's a movie. If anyone took as much of a beating in real life as rocky does in the movies he would be dead. Or severely brain damaged.
For those who don’t know he was 200% knocked out his eyes roll and everything goes limp, that’s the brain shutting off as it tries to cope with so much at once, he was knocked out
He was definitely knocked out. I will just say from experience as a boxer and getting knocked out is that many times you wake up not remembering the punch, it's as if it never happened. So I would think that MBJ could have came to not remembering getting hit and got back into acting mode.
The underappreciated thing about something like this is the trust. MBJ is giving his chin up, knowing it's coming, and trusting that the guy isn't going to hurt him too much. Say what you want about the bouts themselves, all the unprotected shots to the face and everything with the ref not stopping it, but this is real. This shows what these guys have to go through to make a movie look like this and look real. You put your body on the line and trust the guy across from you and the people around you.
Boxing is no joke. I took different martial arts. When I was a teen I sparred a friend hands only. He lit me up. Then after words he told me he was golden gloves. I had him on weight and he wasn't hitting me anywhere near full power. I've been hit by different strikers but boxers hit different. From that point on I studied the hell out of boxing and trained in it. Even trained at wild card for a bit. You can hit 40% and it will hit harder cause of techniques, reps, movement etc. Props to him for taking that multiple times.
