When I tell you that you will loose "inches" lol!! I forgot how much it had shrunk from installation until I compiled this video. I will say that now I have very little shrinkage. It may shrink 2 or 3 inches versus SEVERAL INCHES.
@@microlocsandmore Thank you for the heads up! I was looking at a pictures before I started and from my installation day and was like now where did my inches go?🤣🤣🤣
@@thisnaturalgirlislocd the more tight/compact they get the less shrinkage occurs when I wash them (at least in my journey). What's crazy is the phase of growth and shrinkage at the same time!😜 It's growing (my new growth and natural colored roots show that) yet shrinking because the hair winds upon itself as it locs. Thus why I just go with the flow and focus on if they look healthy. Again with time length will come.
@@microlocsandmore Thank you for this! Because my hair was colored several months prior to my journey so I see the growth at the roots and when I went for my first retie my loctician was like my growth is good but as you said with the shrinkage I'm like huh? 🤣
@@thisnaturalgirlislocdNo problem! We're here to help each other. Oh and take those progress pics! Comparison helps you see changes you otherwise thought was not there. I'll look back at a photo and see oh I actually got a couple more inches (when I thought there was no growth).
Woww I’m also doing my micro locs two strand twist, and for now I don’t have the loctitian just to save the money that why I wanna do it it correctly. Pliz tell me didn’t you experience the damage of hair after color it? Can you give me the name of the color product you used? I colored my hair two years ago now I’m telling you I experienced a serious damage hair that why I’m scared. I will install my microlocs in January month end
I have not experienced any hair damage as a result of my color. I am likely going to recolor in April. We used Loreal's Honey Blonde High Color for Dark Hair. For safety we only let it sit for so long and didn't let it lift fully. Hope this helps!!
Great Video! Can you please tell me who and where is your loctitian located? I am in search of one that truly understands hair texture and density. Thank you in advance!
This video is EXACTLY what I was looking for and needed to see! You looked amazing throughout!❤
Thank you!
My first day is today. Wish my luck
So beautiful! Just combed out my traditional locs and going to install microlocs myself this week. Subscribed! ✨😊
Thank you! 💕
Are you installing or are you going to a loctician?
@@microlocsandmore I’ll be installing them myself! I should have been done by now, but I haven’t even started😭
Beautiful ❤... TFS!
Shrinkage is definitely real!!!! 😃.... I'm 2 months in but loving this journey!

Yes it is😝! Fortunately my locs are at a place where they are not shrinking anymore!💃🏽

Thanks! Her name is Tanya. She is located in Birmingham, Alabama.
@@microlocsandmore Thank you
@@angelfiyah no problem!
When did you start experiencing bunching or budding?
Five to six months in I think.
How long after install did you wash your hair?
I believe it was a month. I was advised to not wash too often because of my fine hair. We were trying to prevent slippage.
Shrinkage. I’m going thru the most awkward stage right now... 5months in
Hang in there. It all improves with time!
@@microlocsandmore 🙏🏽 thank you so much
