7:12 - If you have a 2x4 and a 1" ratchet strap: span the bed rails with a 2x4, centered over the hole in the bed. Tether a ratchet strap to the 2x4, and hook the hitch by the through pin. Pull out the slack and ratchet the hitch into the hole cut into the bed. Was super easy and no special tool was required.
This was a nice video! I'm glad my Ram has the flat area in the bed for the hitch hole. I'm installing this on a 2020 1500, with a Reese goose box v2 on a 6000lb fifth wheel. That way I don't have to deal with moving the 5th hitch to use the truck! Ill be installing an upgraded swaybar and linear springs while under the truck to add stability as well. It would be awesome to see a RAM specific install! If I was closer to you Id offer my truck for the video.
I just mounted a BnW Gooseneck on a 1997 Ford F350 w/overload springs. The truck had NO bed, so install was easier. I am putting a flatbed on it. The issue I have now is the STOCK exhaust is hitting the underside of the gooseneck plate. Is this normal? I don’t believe I saw anything in the directions about this. Before I can put the bed on I need to either fix something I may have done wrong or modify my exhaust. Any help would be appreciated. Otherwise, I like the product and I am excited to use it!

All very good advice. I can't understand the thumbs down responses to this. What could be wrong with a tip video this clearly presented?
maybe the folks over at Curt or similar? haha
Simply a Superior video and Chris is the tops!! Lee, FL

Am installing a Line-X bedliner in my Ford F250. Are there issues I need to know about, when installing the B&W 5W hitch? Thanks and Y'all Be Safe!
If you are installing the hitch after the liner you will only need to account for the thickness of the liner when measuring for your 4” hole.
Very helpful 👍 thanks
So Ford's heat shield just peels off, and GM's will get you to utilize your best tools and swear words. Got it.
Precisely.
