  • Nayib Armando Bukele, President of the Republic of El Salvador, addresses the General Debate of the 79th Session of the General Assembly of the United Nations (New York, 24 - 30 September 2024).
    World leaders gather to engage in the annual high-level General Debate under the theme, "Unity and diversity for advancing peace, sustainable development, and human dignity, everywhere and for all." Heads of State and Government and ministers will explore solutions to intertwined global challenges to advance peace, security, and sustainable development.
    The UN General Assembly (UNGA) is the main policy-making organ of the Organization. Comprising all Member States, it provides a unique forum for multilateral discussion of the full spectrum of international issues covered by the Charter of the United Nations. Each of the 193 Member States of the United Nations has an equal vote.

      Simultaneous translation is hard. Word order varies. Idiomatic expressions must be translated faithfully not literally.

      @ramunebradfordtake2710 7 ชั่วโมงที่ผ่านมา

      @ThomasBusby translations are very tough. However, I am not sure if there is a way for the interpreter can receive a script or something with time to review. Too many umms and ahhs when she needs to be quick to pick up what they are saying. It halts his speech.

    • @Jediwarrior1980
      @Jediwarrior1980 4 ชั่วโมงที่ผ่านมา

      @@ThomasBusby It's called Simultaneous interpretation, not translation. Translation is for document exploitation of foreign written languages. I see what you're saying though but I feel like she should've been more prepared. If you don't get the speech beforehand, a U.N interpreter must be proficient enough to do the job with minimal pauses, uhs and especially stuttering.

    This translator was terrible! She ruined his powerful speech!
    President Bukele himself should have made his speech in English.
    His English speech was so impressive in World Economic Forum.
    His attire today represents he has come from ET forces.
    He himself might be Ashtar Command or Saint Germain.
    He has been emitting light and energy not only to his country but also to the world.
    He has tremendous power to change a criminal country to a sacred country with real freedom.
    He has the spiritual energy to change a bunch of criminals to spiritual people.

      @norysdesigner It's my dream to leave America permanently asap. The American government has destroyed hope and faith, and trust.
      This country has taken everything from me and killed my dream in the most nefarious way possible!
      Without some sort of miracle, I will be permanently enslaved and forced into sharing my knowledge and my skills and my experience and talents with low paying jobs.
      Even when I provide clear, undoubtable evidence that I have skill levels above my coworkers' abilities. I will be forced to work harder and to do the hardest parts of the jobs. They will not increase my remuneration for my outperformance but will shame me for having them and desiring a better life.
      I would love nothing more than to be able to share and take part in a growing meritocratic society. That will never be possible because America has a bureaucrat lurking around every corner, making everything impossible.
      I really hope to see El Salvador grow into the beautiful country it deserves to be.

    So many lies and insults, calling the leaders of the world ignorants by saying many of you might not know El Salvador. The organization is called the UN for a reason. The jacket is getting old. Just do your research and you'll find out El Salvador is not all he'll have you believe. Shame on him for selling a country that doesn't exist.

    Humanity should never have to deal with terror at their home front and the Muslim Brotherhood ($) Movement should be ashamed for this war. No Islamic communities open their heart or land like the Quran states equal 🟰 brothers, sisters and children because key dates, numbers and empathetic language was needed. If this is how they treat their poor equal 🟰 brothers, sisters and children imagine what Israel 🇮🇱 goes through put your feet in Israel shoes 👞

    How could you not love Bukele. It's incr what he's accomplished in such a short period of time. It really goes to show that when a president is truly for the people that anything is possible. This is why the USA needs Trump because Trump is a true people's president. How could you not love Trump and Bukele. For the people ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
