Back in '85 or '86, my friend and I stumbled on an A-Team production on the Caltech campus in Pasadena. There were a bunch of production vehicles staged in a parking lot in the athletics campus, including the black GMC van. A prop/costuming trailer was there with the rear roll up door open, and we could see BA Baracus' gold jewelry hanging on pegs at the far end of the trailer. The weird thing was that there was no one around, not a driver or anyone. We dared each other to go in the trailer for a closer look at the jewelry, but we were both too chicken. We did climb around on the van, peeping in the windows and stuff for a while. Never saw the episode that featured that location, or if I did, I didn't recognize it.
Please do more A-Team locations. I am a huge fan of the series and this is the closest I'll ever get to seeing a real life location of an A-Team episode. Many thanks from the UK.
I watched a lot of A-Team back in its original run on TV. It's cool that you've tracked down these locations of '80s shows. My favorite show, "The Incredible Hulk", ran from 1977 to 1982, and I've traveled to some of the locations of that one. A memorable shot of Bill Bixby as David Banner hitchhiking by the I-5 near Magic Mountain was easy to find.
Oh man, Pee-wee did not see that hit coming from Mr T. :) Kurt, this was awesome. The A-Team was much-watch TV growing up in the '80s. Looking forward to more of these videos.
This was OUTSTANDING!!! I would love it if you do more of these. Knight Rider was also filmed in L.A at that time. If you ever find yourself in Hawaii or Miami some Magnum P.I & Miami Vice episode would be super Rad too.
I still remember the premiere episode of the A-Team coming on right after the Superbowl in 1983. Redskins beat the Dolphins. My favorite running back, John Riggins(I had recently named my first dog Riggo), was MVP. And I got to watch the A-Team. Good day for nine year old me.
I love these videos. California is an amazing place and it’s so cool how things have and haven’t changed. I met Dewight Shultz a few years ago, he talked fondly about his time on the A-team. Great vid!
My mom was a makeup artist during these years and she worked on a bunch of these shows. Not only did I LIVE right by the locations, I knew my mom was there. So many memories. She day checked on the A-Team. So cool that you're doing these locations!
Hey 🤟🚶☀️ Kurt,, My son Max 8 yrs 🙋 and I wondered if you had that small truck anymore 🚙👀👍Ya!! 😮 We like it.. Great Job on the Video 🎥 you got a Great Eye 👁️👁️👀 on what you do... Great Ending on the Video,, The Little A--Team 🧍🧍🧍 Guys and you using your great humor made us Laugh 😅😅😂... Thanks ✌️..
Love it - this is nerdtastic and brings back a lot of nostalgia! I used to have part of an A-Team episode on 35mm film as a kid. I remember unrolling it and looking at it frame by frame. Wish I'd kept that!
Hey Kurt, great seeing an A-Team video from you! I really enjoyed this. Hoping this may help you out - at 6:48 that location might be at S Ave 21 in LA just south of North Main street and parallel to the 5 fwy (to the east). This location was used in another A-Team episode with clear shots of the building and the 5 fwy adjacent to it. This location in your video looks to be the same location to me. I could be wrong!?!? Hope this helps if you didn't consider this location already. Take care, Nate
This is absolutely brilliant kurt. I love it. The A Team was my fav show growing up as a kid in the 80s. What I love most about what you do is.. you do your homework/research on everything. It's exactly what I like to do when I do filming locations.. Please do more A team ones when and if you have time. Also, any news on menace 2 society filming locations. Anyway bloody fantastic all the same
I remember when I arrived at my mother's house for summer vacation in 1983, my best friend came across the street and one of the first things he asked was what I thought about the A-Team. I had no idea what they were, I asked if they were a baseball team. LOL!
Great vid Kurt. A-Team is one of ATF shows...I remember they also filmed the show across from the church I grew up at in LA Chinatown (Yale St to be precise) as well.
This I can watch all the videos...come on The A Team. CHiPs no offense..but after 2 vids I had enuf... I appreciate all the research that took you ALL over LA County
I love this show! I know that a lot was filmed in the Santa Clarita area and around the Santa Clara river…. and sometimes around the old Sierra Highway. What I have been trying to find is where the old abandoned oil field location is that we see in, The Fall Guy, The Incredible Hulk, A-team and so many other 80s shows. And when MacGyver was filmed in LA and not the Vancouver area which was so beautiful! It’s fun to look for these places. Thanks for your research 🎉
I can't believe you were able to find an establishing shot from Chicago, among other things. Amazing work. I also enjoyed the additional shots of the barrel ride that you just covered in the Zapped filmng locations video.
You should buy Joe's Bar and reopen it as a 80s themed Cannabis Cafe. Have you seen the Lowell Cafe on North La Brea between Santa Monica and Fountain? It's like a rainforest with an outdoor patio.
So cool! I know Adam 12 was a 70s show, but like CHiPs, they filmed that show all over the L.A. area. I watch reruns of that show just for the scenery as they shot a lot of episodes all over the SF Valley.
Funny how tv series were just fun back then, who cares the A team caught some crooked cops and released them, who cares there was a shootout at Magic Mountain and no one noticed..lol.. it was just fun times..lol Great work on scouting out the locations.
Funny how Des Regan's (5:01) was across the street from the Baskin Robbins you showed in the beginning of the video and it a couple doors down from where they filmed a bunch of stuff in LaLa Land. (4404 Magnolia, the roof line mentioned at the end of the video.) I consider Burbank my home town and still get back there from time to time to visit Mom and friends. Not many people leave the city for some reason.
That was absolutely phenomenal. I'm 46 years old and I still love that show. I can watch it over and over again and it will never get old. I think it's hilarious that the captain of the villainous swat team becomes one of the Army Colonels looking for the A-Team in one of the later seasons. Was the casting department limited to certain actors and hoped we wouldn't notice? Multiple different episodes used the same actors but in different roles. That in itself is pretty hilarious.
Awesome video! Small correction: a couple of people DID die. I believe 2 or 3 in total but I’m sure other people can tell for sure. One of them was the general.
In the beginning, when Maloney gets pulled over, look how big those trees got! That's right, Scott On Tape, I still remember you taking shit about my trees while guest starred on here! lol
Awesome! There’s not that many people covering A-Team locations. Also, the A Team doesn’t really high light clearly the locations like Chips or TJ Hooker do.
Love your channel, my friend. Quick question. In these 70s and 80s tv shows filmed in California, it seems like all the grass was brown and dead. But in your clips, everything is green and lush. Was this because of the time of year most of these shows were filmed? I noticed it a lot in Chips, A-Team, Rockford Files and Charlie’s angels.
My dad was a big A Team fan .Thankyou for this video by the way. What sort of van did BA drive in the show please? My dad's favourite character's were Murdoch and BA Baracus. He loved Murdoch he found him to be very funny and loved how BA would alwayys pick on poor old Murdoch. My favourite was Murdock too i found him very likeable and very funny.
I remember seeing the A-Team stunt show at Universal Studios when I was a little kid, around 1985. Great memory.

I love it when a plan comes together!
I find myself saying that a lot.
I aint getting on no plane, Hannibal!

They just played this episode Wednesday on the H&I A-Team Wednesday marathon! 😎 Thanks, Kurt!
I just saw an A-Team replica van driving around Bozeman Montana yesterday!!!!
An old friend of mine had one in Las Vegas. Very cool.
I love these videos. California is an amazing place and it’s so cool how things have and haven’t changed. I met Dewight Shultz a few years ago, he talked fondly about his time on the A-team. Great vid!
One of my favorite tv shows as a kid! Yes, please make more of these!

Mr T was the OG and the best!!!
Also had a big time crush on Dirk lol
Really enjoyed this. And watched the A Team episode straight after. You need to do more A Team location episodes 👍
You should buy Joe's Bar and reopen it as a 80s themed Cannabis Cafe. Have you seen the Lowell Cafe on North La Brea between Santa Monica and Fountain? It's like a rainforest with an outdoor patio.

Love that Chips shirt
Sniper is Dean Stockwell! Former child star, big-time costar of quantum Leap!
Awesome work Kurt. It was like reliving the episode!

Oh No ! The Sniper is Al from Quantum Leap. "How could you Al ?"
So, the episode is a crossover with Quantum Leap! Our "SWAT guy" is a time traveler!
@@nathangreer8219 Oh boy.
Just a couple weeks ago, they were filming inside joes. Kinda around the same time they were filming next door to it at the "vintage appliance store".
More A Team filming locations coming - yes 👌🏻
Awesome video!
Small correction: a couple of people DID die. I believe 2 or 3 in total but I’m sure other people can tell for sure. One of them was the general.
YES! (Murdock and BA were both shot, BA almost died) in different episodes.
Man you can make another full podcast on just this subject
In the beginning, when Maloney gets pulled over, look how big those trees got!
That's right, Scott On Tape, I still remember you taking shit about my trees while guest starred on here! lol
Enjoyed the A team video but Please don't stop doing the Chips ones!!!!!!!!!!!

What happened to the original van that was in the show who owns it it definitely holds alot of history
