- I get asked a lot of questions about my Vegepod and what I grow in them.
Here is an introductory video about my Vegepods, what they are, how to assemble them, and some of the questions I am asked about them.
I have inserted some footage from last year when I got my latest Vegepod and how it was assembled and set up.
My next video will be about what I grow in mine and why.

About me:
I'm a real mixture. Half Italian, Half Austrian, Brought up in Australia and married to a British/Irish man. I have been living in the UK for 20+ years. love gardening. I especially love growing fruit and vegetables. And the more exotic they are the better.
I also love cooking. Give me an ingredient and I'll make you something delicious.
Being brought up in the Southern Hemisphere I do miss the ingredients you used to get from the greengrocers, so l now try to grow them here in the Northern Hemisphere, which is a challenge but I love trying.
Thanks for an excellent assessment. It’s a lot of money to still have slugs! As someone with a couple of raised beds and trying to adopt a no dig ideology I found your explanation and experience very helpful.
Thanks @SusyB!
How many kilos of perlite is needed for a medium Vegepod?
(Enough for the base layer and mixing through the compost)
Great video 👍
Hello Sonia
I used 1 x 10 litre bag per wicking base tray. If you look at my amazon shop below I have the perlite I used in it. So if you have a medium Vegepod then you would use 2 bags.
Thanks Susy
Here in New Zealand we can’t seem to get wheels for the large
I know they don’t like recommending wheels for the large one Tina. They are concerned about moving. You have to really be careful and it is definitely more than a one man job. I said I would take the risk. But I never move mine far. 😊😊
