Last weekend we headed to Finland for Round 3 of Drift Masters in Finland. Conor Falvey and Ryusei Akiba once again headed into competition with high hopes, but concrete walls, rain, crashes and stiff competition made this our toughest weekend yet! Conor was knocked out after a very controversial call, but the team are keeping their heads up (even if the cars are completely destroyed)

I hope he gets some results in Riga, he really needs to stop doing backies and just go for clipping zones, he has been doing that this past three rounds (I know it's part of his styles but he need to adapt), as exciting as it is top 32 should be the main focus, then he can go from there. best of luck mate!
this was a messy round, Ryusei needs to keep his head high, he is good just got unlucky, luri did really well, he deserved the win

Was nothing compared to round 1. Spain was a shit show man
100% Ryusei is a proven monster. From a psychological standpoint it must be difficult for him in these situations. Connor has more support around him and some of the time I've felt Ryusei is a little isolated. It's not the fault of the Drift Games team and I'm sure Dave and the guys are already conscious and are doing what they can to make sure the young Japanese driver feels the love. After all it's what the Irish do best.

Bring your friends too! Always cool to meet car people around the world. Just remember to be fast, those tickets are going fast if u want something else than trackside. Hotels as well! Not so many close to the track
I never hurd of eather of these kids till they made the team. Im already such a huge fan of both of them. I know they are both struggling but for them to be doing what they're doing at that age is incredible. Its just a matter of time before they find their groove and shock everyone.

Damn I feel for the lad Connor, he's got a lot on his shoulders and he's taking it like a champ. I'm looking forward to seeing him progress throughout the rest of the season. He definitely handles the pressure well. And can we just give James Dean a special mention for giving Connor some solid advice and mentoring?

HUGE respect to Driftmasters and their drivers. It was a crappy situation, but to see the other driver come over after and give Conor some praise and have the humility to say to him " its not really a win", so cool to see. This kid is gonna go far.
Would have been better if cirba didn't bs about the situation "I shut down because he hit the wall". Says cirba, after looking at his gauges panicking when the car shut down trying to start it.

Wow this video was a rollercoaster of emotions, had it all. What a great round up of the whole event which I sadly missed over the weekend. Honestly thoroughly enjoying this series of watching these guys put their skills to the test on the biggest stage with the highest level of opponents. Really well put together video chaps, capturing the bond between Falvey and his family, spurring him on to smash his second qualifying run after yet another 0 at the start, to last minute fixes with the cars, to making top 16. Ryusei your time will come and hopefully the luck is with both lads on the next one. Keep up the work all the DG team, what a bounce back.
Next series on the DG channel, take an absolute amateur to drifting, say someone who’s only done one 3hour session at a learn2drift experience day, build them a budget project car, the DG team teach them to drift, put them into an amateur event. I think I might know someone 👀

The bad weather has thrown off a lot of the top boys this season so far. I'm praying that there will be a full two days of dry weather for the best track in the series 🙏. Sorry to all the plant farmers in the area.😂

Well, I can't imagine what goes in 16 years old on this level of pressure (I probably couldn't even build build legos at that age) but if he reach his peace of mental state, he will leave allot of broken hearts on the track. Same goes for his team mate the japanese kid, he is amazing, and he is fearless. Best initiation of the whole damn qualify. The kids will conquer

Absolutely gutted that Conor didn't go through after the top 16 battle with that 10-0 run but to say that conditions were sketchy the whole weekend is an absolute understatement.

i feel so bad for Ryusei, when he realised he got knocked out of the top 32 you can see he was really upset. I think he needs to chill a bit on the huge flicks and near reverse entries, messes up the line it looks like. Big flicks and angle may be the way it is in Japan in D1 but DMEC is more accuracy and good lines it seems. Connor is unlucky, he likes the walls a bit too much haha, if he stays out of them he'll get to top 8 and hopefully further. Also the Finnish crowds are crazy, i though us Irish were pretty good at Mondello, but the Finns are something else hahaha.

Cirba 100% lied about there being faults in his car. And it's a disgrace he was let away with it. I also noticed there was a new main judge this weekend and I'm going to say it, he needs replaced. Big time.

Cirba lied and made it to top 8 and stayed in the points. Falve shouldn't have spit his radiator, no denying that, but I'll never view Cirba the same.
There is a new main judge every event. It rotates. Shows how much you know about this.
