I absolutely enjoyed this showing! Totally caught off guard by the interior. They did an awesome job, especially the paint colors. Excellent idea with the water manifolds. Thanks so much for sharing this with us Nancy!!!❤️
Thank you! It is a beautiful home!
I want it … … I just cannot do stairs ..l need single level
Great presentation!
Thank you!
Nice home, very simply but tastefully done. Kudos to the builder and good luck with your sale!
Thank you!
Very nice!
I desperately want this house, but we’re not moving to Maine for 4 more years. But at least I know what I am looking for.
Thought I recognized this house -- this house was for sale last year or maybe a little earlier ($65,000) - the renovations don't appear to add $100K over - but in this market - sell it to anyone that wants to pay $100,000 over for maybe $20-$25,000 worth of upgrades. Love it!
I remember the old listing also.
(Can't help but think that the builder/flipper got his low ball offer accepted)
Looks like that builder took it to the studs.
All new windows
New door's
Redid the plumbing and electrical.
New drywall.
Can't remember her talking about the floors, but they looked great.
The work and and upgrades in the bathrooms and the kitchen.
The work in the outbuildings and garage.
Seems like a fair price.
I thought the same. For the size of the land and the home I was thinking 120 to maybe 130, since all the work is done.
This home has had a major renovation in the last 3 months. It was taken to the studs, all new interior finish, all new insulation including in the attic-prior this was all plaster and no insulation, 5 new windows, all new doors, all new wood flooring-oak on first floor and hickory on second floor, added a half bath on first floor, all new bathroom on second floor, all new plumbing and electrical to code, all new LED lighting, fans, etc, kitchen completely refurbished. All new Appliances including a stackable GE washer/dryer unit. New shingles on front porch, mudroom, garage and main roof and the list goes on and on....could not be done for the $ amount you stated! This renovation was done by a builder who does beautiful work! A must see!
Market is the market. It's worth every penny. The only down I can see is a small lot, but that price.
@@BrisLS1 BUY it man!
Wow, I thought I was watching This Old House. Great value, with all those renovations. I am sure that will sell fast at that low price. Mortgage would be less than renting a 1 Bedroom apt. Crazy bargain.
Thank you for watching!
This house is a charmer. You should not have any problem selling it. They did a wonderful job fixing this home. I live in Tampa and retired now. I am a Veteran but my present income doesn't meet the asking price. I was a Realtor in CT and was born in Edmundston, NB Canada. My brother lives in Van Buren Maine. Just looking at your property. If I were only 20 years younger I would be on this nicely done Charmer!!!! One of my grandmother Parent's sisters lived in Millinocket. But she is gone now. I like fishing too. Did lots of it in Florida. I am a disabled retired veteran now and just living life on life's terms. Have a great day and good luck selling this home. I have an electric scooter to get around in and a movable ramp too. Should I hear of anyone that wants to go into Maine I will surely pass your phone number to them!!! PS You might even know my Grandparents they owned the New Moon Restaurant and Motel in Ste. Anne De Madawaska, NB Canada. It no longer exists anymore. Both my parents are gone now. Romain (Tis Blanc) and Madeleen Parent.
Thanks for sharing.
I recently learned getting a fridge WITHOUT an external ice and water feed / spout is special order ad more expensive than those with the external ice / water access. What has the word come to when you have to pay more for less amenities
....want canned foods without salt, costs more! Go figure...
Was it me or did the mud room go around the corner?
Dishwasher ???????????
Sink and manual washing of dishes.
I noticed that too. A flip without a dishwasher... poor idea.
@@Lakota828 Maine idea.
@@kookietherapy9398 We have sold a lot of homes with NO DISHWASHERS! Most of the people that have bought them are from out of state so I disagree that it is a Maine idea!
$165k is dirt cheap, in Australia no where you can buy anything under $500k even In Tasmania.
Amen, I live 5 hours south of this location (in Connecticut USA) and this updated, clean house near a park and water is an AMAZING price!!! I love it;!!!!
Yup...Millenocket Maine and Australia, Tasmania actually, first thing that popped into my head!
@@lovinwildlife2150 Thank you! It is an amazing home at this price here in our area also!
Is this home in a flood zone? Does it require insurance for it?
Has not required it in the past.
Totally cute, but neighbors too close, garage isn't paved and no d/w. I like the park across the street and me being in NJ, it's refreshing to see the taxes aren't sending you to the poor house lol
Have to wonder: are the quoted taxes pre reno or post reno evaluation?
@@ackack612 They are post. Millinocket has not reevaluated properties in person, for over 40 years.
@@richardtheriault7624 OK! Thx for all the info, heating and taxes. Clearly very different from my world of reference. Appreciate responses.
The electric panel needs to be relocated. It doesn't have the clearance as required by the NEC.
No it does not need to be relocated. Older homes are exempted from having to meet code requirements that were not in place when they were built.
@richardtheriault7624 it looks like a modern service.
@@markr9113 It is. The service was put in in 2004.
@richardtheriault7624 Sorry, it is a code violation. New construction is not exempt. It appears that pipe is too close. It needs to 3 1/2 feet from the panel.
I just looked at my home which was built in 2000 and has a 200 amp service the service panel is 3 inches from a drain pipe and maybe a foot from a waterline. House was built to code from engineers drawings and inspected throughout during that time. No issues.
QUESTION: While the hot air baseboard vents are all visible in 1st floor rooms, anybody see any vents in any of the 2nd floor rooms...baseboard, ceiling, anywhere? Just how is 2nd flr heated...what am I missing? (Good call on those who recognized this property from initial, pre reno listing by same realtor. )
Heat rises. Older homes with forced hot air have no heating vents on second floor. Heat rises up the staircase to the 2nd floor.
@@richardtheriault7624 having just completed a total interior reno, I'd hardly call this a old home. So, heat rises, huh...who knew! What you are suggesting is utterly ridiculous, as in, what happens when bedroom doors are closed at night during winter? Why would anyone pay that much for a home and be cold...in a home that was just renovated! Signed, Dazed and Confused.
@@ackack612 Dazed and confused seems to be accurate. Many homes of this vintage and design are heated just the same way. The home is well insulated and has one heating zone for the forced hot air furnace. You are envisioning a problem that simply is not a problem in reality.
UPDATE! As it turns out, the broker would have you believe NOT having heat on the 2nd flr is a non issue....HA! Buy this home, let me know how warm and fuzzy your bedroom is come winter, better yet, stepping out of that shower early in the AM! Common sense...trust yours when considering just such a property.
@@ackack612 I live in a 1871 farmhouse. We have no heating on the second floor. I have a forced hot air oil heating system and a woodstove on the first floor. I can assure you that our pipes on the second floor do not freeze, and we like the cool temperatures in our bedroom for sleeping. Older homes are not for everyone but I like mine and have lived in it comfortably for 30 years.
Nice presentation. BUT OVER PRICED
I can see it now when you have guests at the house you toss them a sleeping bag and a pillow and point them in the direction of the shed in backyard and bode them a goodnight. Guess who will no longer ever have guests again.
Excellent lol, you don't move "up ta Maine"to be with people all the time and having a separate little building as an office or guest house is the newest "rave"...people love privacy
@@lovinwildlife2150 So true. This video was part of my research on moving from Pennsylvania to Maine in a few years when I retire and one of the aspects about Maine that attracts me is that it's a sparsely populated state. I really just left that last comment in jest as it struck me that dirty dusty shed being used as a guest house, but of course it would need cleaned up.
Ha ha. I was thinking the same. Not putting grandma in a windowless wooden box with no running water. People get carried away selling utility spaces of homes.
to much money
What??? 🤣🤣🤣
Too
How much over priced?
You have to be kidding
Very nice!
