I’ve been a fan of yours since the first season of the RHONJ and although some people have a difficult time understanding you, I totally get where your passion for everything comes from. Keep being you! And…keep cooking for us!

    U need to remove the choke and snip the leaves , then open up the sides and stuff them with the bread crumbs, my mother made the best artichokes, all italian, this is another way.

    Every Easter my mom would cook stuffed artichokes, we’re 100% Sicilian and this is exactly the way she made hers. The only difference is instead of opening the artichokes, after cutting the top parts off, she would place the artichokes top side down to open them up. The best part was getting all the stuffing off the leaves until you reached the heart of the artichoke and it would just melt in your mouth! 😋😊

    I would love to see the finished recipes. For example show when they’re done baking or cooking. Most of your cooking videos including this one don’t show the final product. If you don’t want to eat on camera at least show how you would serve and how to cut, etc. I’m not Italian but a Hispanic in the West coast and this is literally the first time I’ve ever seen stuffed artichokes. I have no idea how to eat these. Other than that I ❤ your simple recipes.

    Oh wow! One of my all time favorites, love artichokes so much..I never stuffed the artichokes with pepperoni, or with beaten eggs, within the breadcrumbs, that's new to me...Or I never cooked them in a tomato sauce with chicken broth, this is also a new way for me. Also, my mother always trimmed each artichoke leaves to remove the thorny points at the ends...Helps to stuff them without hurting your fingers and it's a neater presentation when serving your artichokes to your guest.

    • @GigiD-rr4lh
      @GigiD-rr4lh ปีที่แล้ว

    Hi Teresa, I’m second generation Sicilian and we make artichokes all the time with the Italian bread crumbs, Romano cheese and garlic, stuffing each leaf as well as the middle. We also trimmed off the thorny leaf tops. We cooked them in shallow water with lemon on the
    stove top or you can bake in the
    oven. I will definitely have to try
    your family’s recipe , it also
    looks so delicious!

    Much like the Stuffed Artichoke Recipe; there are many different ways to make the Sicilian rice balls too; but I'd love to see how you make them!!
    Your artichokes look delicious and way less complicated than when my mom used make these!!! She used to add chunks of Parmigiano-Reggiano cheese (in a couple of leaves) along with the Italian sausage tho! When you bite into the softened cheese....omg, so good!! But yours looks good too & less complicated; making me wanna make yours; since it's so easy-peasy !! 😋

    My mom used to make those, but she thinks they’re a hassle to make so she created a casserole with artichoke hearts, sautéed mushrooms, Italian bread, crumb, butter, olive oil, and she layers it It’s one of my favorite things my mom makes and we will be having it for Thanksgiving. She’s also added zucchini and yellow squash in it as well. It is just so good.

      Many of her comments that noticed she had not properly cleaned the artichoke , she had blocked or removed. many of the comments that do not point out errors in her forgetting ingredients or not properly preparing food are comments from people in her camp. For safety reasons Do not stuff an artichoke until it is prepared and cleaned well. Teresa did this all wrong leaving viewers to be jabbed with the points. She also left the fuzzy inner part inside instead of scooping it out. Here is a link that quickly and safely show you how to clean the artichoke before stuffing by Martha Stewart.

    Im not knocking this recipe but, mine is completely different. I usually remove the choke, depends on the artichoke. Then i mix breadcrumbs, garlic...just a tiny bit, salt and pepper, and just a little grated cheese. Not a lot. You want to taste the artichoke! My breading is dry. Then i steam them in a dutch over or a saucepan for an hour or so. My stuffing since i start dry, is at every leaf. The steam brings all the flavors together and the stuffing is moist its done. Again, im not picking on this recipe but, just too much going on. That's what makes the world go around though. Otherwise, i love Theresa and her recipes!

    I hate having to embarrass myself by asking how do you eat this.. I've only had artichoke leaves cooked as a kid and don't know how for these

    • @KudzuCackalacky
      @KudzuCackalacky ปีที่แล้ว

      You peel a leaf. Gently close teeth on about the middle of leaf and drag and scrape across teeth. Basically scraping off part of the meaty section of a leaf. You eat that and discard the rest of the leaf. Just stacking the discarded leaves on a plate. Those are gonna be the green ones. Then, as you get toward the inner leaves they should be tender and smaller and you can eat those whole. Let your tongue be the guide. The most tender ones will be white. Similar to the ones you would see in a jar at the supermarket. At the base/ bottom of the artichoke is what they call the heart. It's all grayish white. It's about as thick as a finger. You will have to get a knife and gently cut and navigate the prickly thorny stringy things off. If you don't cut them off and bite into you will be in for a rude awakening. Those prickly things will not feel good . Make sure to slice them away. There should be a white circular section that you can eat. That is the heart and it's delicious. I hope that helps you.

    My favourite! My Sicilian mother made it exactly the same but without the sausage! I would of loved to see the finished dish with a taste test. Love your cooking videos ❤️
