I get a special joy seeing you break down the Stonewall. I know it's mildly dubious from White but it takes so much patience and perseverance if black is to play for the win. It's one of those openings that looks ugly and tempts you into overextending to punish it. And then you're so embarrassed when you lose because that's exactly what white wants here.
Hello, Stjepan. You said some time ago that you will make a video about carlsen's sveshnikov games. Do you still have these plans or not? I would really like to see it
From my experience, I feel like the engine hates the stonewall. Straight in the opening it often gives an advantage of 1 to the opponent. The problem is that the advantage doesn't become clear for a long time, and since we're human, we don't play the best moves. So it often ends up equalising. I do play at lower ratings though, so it might just be that my opponents aren't good enough to capitalise on the advantage I'm giving them.
Guys, Stjepan, how can I prepare against opponents in FIDE tournaments? I'm trying to find their games but I can't. if anyone could help, I'd greatly appreciate it!
not every player has recorded games (obviously), but maybe try checking on your country's chess organisation, that's how I did it when I was in a chess club if I even remember...
7:46 you can thank your opponent for not going into that line because you would have been worse! White is just better here after Qb3 and Bg7, contrary to your analysis
Hi there, Stjepan! Good coverage as usual, so...many thanks! Now...have you ever thought about going in for chess960 games?! No theory there...all good analysis to do, far more challenging I believe without all the memorization & preconceived notions of theory etc! Seems like this could well be the shape of future chess games, eh?! Wasn't this why Fischer ended up hating classical chess, and indeed defining chess 960 etc?! After all, it seems as though in classical chess, we hope for a blunder by our opponent, or...finding a TN somewhere down the line of analysis! Some openings cf. the Sicilian, KID, Ruy Lopez etc have been analyzed to the nth degree making life dull...and ending up in so many DRAWN games [whole tournaments even where every one is FIRST EQUAL - LUDICROUS!]?! Your comments, please would be gratefully welcome!!
You have enough time to measure the length of the sponsored video but not enough time to just skip past it? Unfortunate. Also, welcome to capitalism. People need to make a living. Bye!
19:43. Mate in 1!!!?? Come on mate
When you see mate in one, try for better! 🙂
19:53 Qf2 is mate no?
Yeh lmaooo, he missed and suggested Rf8 and then again suggesting Qxh3 lol
26:45 The rook is defended by the bishop
Everyone pointing out the mate in 1: Stjepan was just testing you guys to see if you were paying attention.

I like your idea of analysing without the engine first, I reckon its the only way to do it. Keep it up, it was an instructive game!

koji je sljedeci otvoreni turnir na koji ides?

You played well and confident!
Was it just me, or did everyone think Stephan rage-quit the tournament because he stopped uploading?

If you write their name and chess on google there will probably be some sites with their games.

You seem to be very materialistic when you're analyzing and deciding moves
Sir pls make a series on 1.b3 Nimzolarsen Attack Opening @HangingPawn
Your own bot, how cool!
SIX minutes at the start advertising!!!! Your analysis missed mate around 20
it's "hanging pawns" there now, instead of hpy.
I hate this 2.f4 move order. Every time I encounter it I always throw a spanner in their work with 2...Bg4, trying to be as annoying as possible.

4:15 minutes of sponsor, I think I am skipping this video, unfortunate as I really tend to like them

@Zeyrion Didn't say I don't have time to skip it, just simple refusing to consume low quality content, "welcome to capitalism".
