I actually know a lady who has a 35k gallons koi pond in the US, with a bit of a similar set-up, a giant greenhouse on top. She's very private though, I don't think she'd be willing to have somebody recording a public video in there. She has absolutely amazing fish in there...

Definitely not everyone’s dream. I personally hate the greenhouse and the overall design; to me it doesn’t feel like an actual pond, it feels like being inside a bass pro shop. But that’s just my preferences, I can certainly understand why someone who likes a greenhouse would love it.
It’s been awesome to see this pond evolve! But I’m ready for some harvest videos 😊

I've been a koi keeper for 18yrs now. I spent about $1,700k for my filtration system for my 10k gal. pond and I designed it myself. I only clean my filter once every year and seldom change my water to avoid stress to my koi. I'm kinda sad when I see people spend so much on filtration yet still worried a lot about cleaning, water maintenance and koi health.
What are your nitrates levels? People can flout lack of waterchanges but that’s not what counts - just look at Japans Koi farms - plenty of fresh water
@@Aiken47 So I have a Baki system that runs through 3 open boxes with vegetation which I trimmed it like every 6mos. Or depending on plants growth. My pond used to have over a hundred koi fish before (like 12yrs ago) but now I only have 18 koi ranges from 58cm to 97cm. To avoid being over crowded. I only run 2pumps one for my main pond a 20k L/hr with Venturi system (I put the tube from my water intake you can also search this system here in YT) so it aerates my pond, saves a lot since I don't use any aerator. And a 1.5kL/hr. Pump for my slow flowing Baki system. I use a smaller pump for the Baki system to have a slow flow so that plants could grow. I did try a stronger pump before but my plant won't grow that well than my current pump. Over all my electric bills are just for 2pumps to operate. I live in Philippines btw, so I don't have to worry about water temperature.

@@zanonez7094 No bro, just my whole set up for filtration systems. I only use a couple of pumps for my whole set up. One is solar for my Baki system and one electricity for my main pump. So I spent less on electric bills.

The water in the smaller ponds look good. But the water in the larger pond needs a better filter system. There are better filter systems than the drum filters which are aslo more reliable and cheaper in energy consumption. Splitting the big pond into 4 or 5 smaller units by adding additional walls would also be a good idea to be able to catch the fish.

I’ve been raising Koi for 40 years in my small pond and have lost my fish to predators and floods but never disease Strong Waterfall oxygenated water is the key and keeping minimal amount of fish

These koi almost all of them in the pond are extremely expensive best quality l can recognize they no ordinary koi. Esp. that white one with the red spot right on the forehead.

Those Koi are beautiful, but also very expensive. Koi that size and quality of colors are easily $5K - $10K+ EACH! However, if you want a koi pond, don't let that discourage you because you can get much smaller ones for cheap and grow them that big yourself!

Oh wow my dream pond, it’s been great watching this pond build. The glasshouse over the top of the pond is brilliant, is it double walled like the Japanese koi houses are? If the pond is heated, greenhouse double walled, temp kept min 15C the plants have a high chance of surviving the winter.

Such a massive filter system and the water is still murky and cloudy ..
Only the big pond, the two others where crystal clear. The UV lights on the big pond were off. Also cloudy water doesn’t meant it isn’t healthy
I thought my pond was a decent size....it's not quite the capacity of the quarantine pond ! If only I had the space......and money 🙂

It depends, the ones in the quarantaine pond or the main pond? The fish in the main pond where delivered that morning and jump to empty their swim Blatter 😃 good notice and thanks for watching

Pond and filtration is incredible. The perspex jump barriers let it down a bit I think and if the koi were parasite free (Flukes?) the chances of one jumping out would be very low.

Need way more water changes. Give the plants the old koi water. If I dont change my aquarium water one;s in a while it also turns green no matter the filter. I would at a sandfilter if I was that wealthy.

@@relaxationtube4441 they have airstones in the pond which can cause bubbles. the air also has the effect of separating the dissolved protein out of the water (from the food) which can cause foam

Beautiful fish, but such a bland pond design. It's little more than an oversized holding tank. I'd much rather have a small selection of fish in a well-landscaped natural looking pond to showcase them.

but the water is poor quality why. its not clear.
Healthy water doesn’t need to be clear, rule number 1! 😉 but it’s not clear because the UV lights where off for a week. It’s now crystal clear like the other quarantine tanks

If he has that kind of money and find all those pumps in everything. And then I would've gotten some Van die trees and all kinds of different things from Japan. Come on, 32000 gallons is not the largest koi pond in the US. I have seen a 100000 gallon pond in Florida, 8 feet deep with an Island. I get it though, you have to make false claims to drive up engagement for your channel.
