I use the following 135mm lenses: Asahi 135mm f/3.5 Super Takumar M42 (49mm filter) Fujinon 135mm f/3.5 EBC M42 (49mm filter) Nikkor 135mm f/3.5 AIS F-mount (52mm filter) Nikkor 135mm f/2 AIS F-mount (72mm filter) Zeiss 135mm f/2 APO Sonnar (77mm filter) I primarily use them in a 24/50/135mm lens kit for photojournalism, documentary, and portraits. All produce great images.
Back when I used to shoot with Fujifilm the 90mm was my go to lens for portraits (which is my specialty). I much preferred it over the 56 f1.2 as I found that lens somewhat slow to focus and unreliable compared to the 90mm. Hope you like yours!

100mm is more common to find used and a lot more reasonably priced and can also come in macro variations. Most 135mm don’t offer great focusing distances
I was on the fence (mainly due to price), but I was able to get a great discount on a brand new Sony 135 GM. I bought it and have not regretted it at all. I love this lens!
In APS-C mode (with a crop factor of 1.5) a 135mm F1.8 lens is equivalent to 202,5mm F2.7. So quite the same compression and bokeh as a 200mm F2.8. And maybe more flexibility indoors, if the 200mm 2.8 is a prime and not a 70-200mm.

I dont think this video does justice to the 135mm 1.8. Pair that lens with some lighting and you have a different animal on your hands.
I literally just said the same thing. I have the 135mm gm with the Sony A7V with 3 softboxes. Out the camera photos look edited already

Did this lens need adjusting on the Sigma dock for the R5? I have the Sigma ART 50mm 1.4 & it's soft on my R5.
EF mount lens should not have to be calibrated because mirrorless cameras focus off of the sensor and not the lens line DSLRs.

its not a bigmistake when you shoot that far. if you shoot landscape mode rather than a portrait that would be better.
I have that same lens and I loooooove it. But now Canon is coming out with a f/1.4 135 and it'll ruin me
