For me they would be S tier if you didnt have to be a rocket scientist to understand how to use their mechanic, and if searching for those damn books wouldnt be so frustrating. 99% of the time when i was done with the game was while building a villager breeder or trading hall, and the other 1% was because of a creeper that blew up parts of my breeder or trading hall.

They're the best source of rare resources like mending books, golden carrots, tipped arrows and bottles of enchanting, and they overall increase the QoL in minecraft. Also they can be used to obtain totems of undying via cartographers and raids

My only issue with this list is the chicken going in C tier. You can use their feathers to make the book & quill which is not only one of the coolest items in the game, but you can trade them with the librarians at the best mob-per emerald ratio in the game. Not only that, but the kid zombies can ride them. Chickens are *at least* high A tier

Phantom in B tier?! Fun concept to force the player to sleep? **** no. Maybe if the sleeping system was actually good in Minecraft. You literally need to download a mod to fix it because otherwise you will never get through the night sleeping unless you're playing by yourself. If you have more than 2-3 people on a server there's always that one guy who doesn't want to sleep and who can blame him? It's their choice! But because of the stupid sleeping system forcing everyone to sleep, the people on the surface have to go through hell especially when they're trying to build something. Forcing the player to sleep was the worst idea in the history of Minecraft because it restricts the player to stay near base and never allows exploration because if you do then everyone including yourself has to deal with phantoms. It's a pain in the ass. **** phantoms. Worst mob in Minecraft by a long shot.

chickens deserve A or B tier. automatically cooked meat, no need for manual breeding. set the farm up and all you have to do is take the cooked chicken out of the chest. plus feathers for arrows in early game and to sell to fletchers later on. and you can get eggs too if you want them for whatever reason. the food source becomes kind of obsolete later on, but at that point, you can modify the farm to get raw chicken to sell to butchers. they also arent as much of a pain in the ass to make a farm for because you dont have to lure them, you can just throw eggs until they hatch. maybe not the greatest later on, but for early game, they are great. at the very least they should be above pigs, which are obsolete in every way.

Chickens are great cause they’re easily breedable since they lay eggs all the time
Disliked for the travisty that is putting phantoms in B tier, as Donald said they suck for forcing us to sleep and are a pain in the butt to deal with, it was the first flying mob in the game but that's not really worth much when it's a horrible mob, you can't even go under water to avoid them. The design is kinda neat but it still deserves D tier, the Bee should be in B tier minimum if it was me it would be A tier at least not only for it's honey which can be used in redstone and parkore but also for the possibility of using them in farms to speed up harvest through pollination. The rest of the list is pretty solid tho.
