    I got this model a few months ago. My very first PRS. I always think most new guitars I get are wonderful like - where have you been all my life - wonderful. Until a few weeks later and they are for sale on Reverb. This one is different. I just love it and can't explain why. All I have wanted to play since I got it. I added Kluson locking tuners, some lipstick with cream colored PU frames and a cream LP style toggle plate. Now I am sad because I can't keep shopping for guitars. THIS IS THE ONE! Balanced, perfect weight, the best neck ever and sounds incredible. I thought about adding 58/15s but why? It ain't broke! The stock pickups are amazing to me.

      Hey Jake, thanks. Yes, I'm really vibing with this guitar. Far more than I did with the Custom 24 I had. I'll upgrade the pickups to the PRS American pickups soon but this is definitely a players guitar.

    I’m looking to get this guitar in the next few weeks. I have a se 24 custom now. Not sure I’d give up 10 top for it but if it never gets played then I understand lol. Nice job

    • @MackGuitarGuy
      @MackGuitarGuy  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hi Richard, it really is a good guitar and I've spent quite a bit of time playing it. I got rid of the the 10 top just because the neck felt very small and cramped to me. I've actually replaced it with a Paoletti Stratosphere which I love.

      @@MackGuitarGuy totally understandable reason, I’ve sold a few Martins (and currently do not own a Martin) for the same reason, I just felt the necks and I didn’t get along.

    I play a 66 Jazzmaster, and have a 65 Reissue Jazzmaster as well. I must say, I'm impressed with this PRS. I tried one out at a local music store. The neck on this guitar is wonderful, so comfortable and in spite of the 24.5" Scale, I'm digging it. Nice review, but could you explain the control layout, volume & tone, I don't recall exactly how that was laid out.

    • @MackGuitarGuy
      @MackGuitarGuy  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hey Frank, I love my Jazzmaster. It's such a versatile guitar. Glad to hear you're enjoying your Zach Myers PRS. If you're familiar with how a Les Paul's volume and tone controls are laid out the ZM PRS is laid out differently. On the ZM PRS your top 2 knobs are your volume knobs. The front knob is for you neck pick-up and the back knob is for your bridge pick-up. The bottom 2 knobs are you tone knobs laid out the same way. The front for the neck and the back for the bridge.

    the one your playing has a darker color fret board then the one there showing on the website. I def like the darker color.

    Nice Playing, i am intending to buy this guitar but many reviewers said it had a lot of issues, do you think it has any noticeable issues other than the tuners?

    • @MackGuitarGuy
      @MackGuitarGuy  3 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      Hey Lam, thanks brother! I’ve been playing the guitar nonstop since I got it. It really has become a go-to guitar for me. I’ve found no issues with it. I’ve already changed out the tuners which feel much better and I’ll upgrade to a set of the PRS American pickups soon. It’s a great guitar and you get a lot more than what you pay for with this guitar. It stays in tune really well, even with the original tuners, and the neck feels great. You can set it up with low action with no buzzing or dead areas across the neck. This guitar is solid!

      LOL, Yes I have a few! Some are studio guitars, some are road/touring guitars, some I've just had a long time and just have history and good memories with.
