Someone knew what they were doing when they thought of add-a-one. They made the first round more exciting
I love how Add A One has such a huge range.
If Michael Larson would have hit this, he could have been a Millionaire.
Looks like Add A One (at least during the classic era), was only available in Round 1's Big Board.
I think Add A One can only be stopped on once for an entire game.
Imagine you have $0 and Add-A-One gives you $10, but what happens if you land on a Whammy, what do you get? Lose-A-One!
If a $10 whammy loss did happen, it would’ve been in one of the unarchived September 1986 episodes.
This was only good when you have $1000 or more when landing on add a one to make it over $10,000 in the first round

Yes, someone racked up over $10,000 In the first round AND hit the Add-A-One.
One thing you’ll never get from Add-a-One: $100 (you can get $10, 1000, 10000 and now 100000)
There's lots of possibilities with the add a 1 space
Add-A-One with over $1,000 ($10,000 or more in the Elizabeth Banks version) or more makes you a target for the other contestants to whammy you.
If a contestant (in the 80s version) hits Add-A-One and he/she has $10,000 or more they just add an additional $10,000 to their score.
That's a crock of shit, you should be able to get $100,000 if you have $10k already. And that happened in the new version once!

At most he would have $11,250 at the end of round 1 but I bet you Ed & Janie would've tried really hard to whammy him considering the space would've been gone after he hit it, maybe the producers would've figured out what larson was doing sooner than expected. Still fair & square play though.
Thankfully, Add-A-One was only on offer in round one. However, Double Your $$ + one spin (which was on offer in round 2) wasn't on the board when Michael Larson was on the show.

Please do, its literally nowhere else on the air or online!! Other copy and a ton of other 1986 episodes randomly disappeared from TH-cam about a year or two ago.
