If anyone is interested simplex is short for simple explorer model detctors. I just got one. Looking forward to doing some mudlarking just as soon as the weather gets better in my area.

Thank you. Yes it's a good coil. Going bit deeper than the stock coil, and covering more ground.

Those coils are manufactured by detector electronics corp. of Southborough, MA. They have partnerships with min labs, and Nokto Makro. The manufacture the detector heads. They also have their own line of detectors. Depth Master detectors. The company founds used their detectors to find and recover artifacts from the pirate ship Wydah.

You certainly shouldn't be treating your finds so roughly. It was a horse harness buckle most likely. You shouldn't be rubbing with your fingers, gloves or bru shes. Have some respect for your finds.

I always heard no water except on silvers. I question that as the coin is constantly in water whenever it rains
