which is the oldest model print/cut that roland makes that allows you to create die cut stickers where it cuts out the whole sticker from the sheet and it falls through after printing? i am familiar with the sp540 that was the last model i used over a decade ago before sticking to dtg printing and back then i was never told i could perform that with that sp540 printer but i assume this was something that was figured out after those models?
    thank you for your time!

If I am understanding what you are asking then many Roland models could be set with enough cut force to cut both the vinyl top layer and the backing paper layer of the vinyl. It takes additional force and a sharp high quality blade but I believe most Roland Printer Cutters should be up to the task - You will also end up replacing your cutting protection strip frequently if you are trying to cut that deeply. Hope that helps.

@@BetterBannerPrinting yes exactly "die cut" i seen a roland xc 540 doing these die cuts in 4mil media kinda like these types of stickers in this link.

That printer has 6 heads so it takes longer than some printers to do proper maintenance but it is very doable - You should be able to use a cleaning swab and clear cleaning solution and manually clean the heads, wipers, cap tops in 10 minutes or less every week
