AH! I go to college in New Orleans, and I miss it so much. I had to take a year off because of the pandemic, and I had cancer (I'm alright now) and man I just want to go back so badly.
Tiana is one of my favorite! The Princess and the Frog came out a little before I went to New Orleans for my study abroad. Weather-wise, there is a hurricane season and it can be wonderful outside sunny, big blue sky and then an hour later you can have water down to your knees (personal experience), otherwise winters are nice temperatures and summers are just hot as hell. It's very humid. Great build! I really enjoyed it!
The Disney cruise line has a restaurant themed to tianas place. And this build looks so much like the pictures I’ve seen. Also they have a snuggly duckling restaurant too
What you do is start with a sim on a residential lot then take them, for example, to their restaurant that they own. You can then build, for example, an apartment over the restaurant and then when the business closes for the evening (or whatever) it becomes a residential lot basically. If you want to live there you can and just completely ignore the residential lot they originally came from.

someone probably already said this, but the career unlock bed from the painter profession would have been PERFECT. it's got the van gogh sunflower swatch!! regardless, this place is gorgeous 🖤 i'm french canadian and grew up basically on the texas/louisiana border, and can assure you that you've done a stellar job capturing the atmosphere in this build :')

So I would love to build something with a bookstore with an apartment above it. See I like for my sims to be writers when I play, cuz that's one of the fastest ways to make good money. And it would be so cool to think that she could be selling her books right down stairs. :) But I also still play in the sims 3. So I'm not sure how I would do it. And do I have to change the lot type or anything? Anyway, if you have any ideas for a bookstore/apartment build, I would love to see it. And maybe add a nice writing space. I need some more ideas on how to decorate my office spaces. Thanks in advance! :)
With how Denmark’s weather has been this spring it’s easy to catch a cold. It cold windy and sometimes rainy and most of the time it hasn’t been above 10 degrees

Hope you recover fully 💕 And yes, we still have other illnesses and viruses going around apart from covid. Last year I randomly got an ear infection because my immune system slowed down in lockdown :/ Anyways, it makes me really proud to hear that you are responsible and taking care of yourself and your family amongst this time. Just wanted to point that out because many people don't care about others anymore. Amazing build as always 🌈

This is so great. I feel like this could’ve been what Tiana’s restaurant looked like if she hadn’t been cheated out of the building she wanted in the beginning of the movie
The trailer for paranormal stuff used the four poster bed with the rounded headboard that they patched into the base game a long time ago. The design of the headboard totally fits with the pack theme, but the bedcovers don’t go at all - it would have been cool to see at least some swatches added to that base game bed, but I know pack exclusive swatches were not popular (fair enough but paranormal stuff already had SO much for a stuff pack and a swatch would be less of an ask then another item, and so many times we never get matching swatches if it’s not in the pack).
I love it so much, omg (and I feel like I should mention LittleMsSam Live in Business mod, you can make your sims house into a café with a lot trait, it's awesome, totally recommend)

Tiana starts working in a cafe to earn the money for her own restaurant in the movie. I think she was more into the restaurant idea because her dad use to share the Jimbo (I think that’s what it is called) that they made together with their street with, witch were dinner. Also I think the biggest difference in restaurants and cafes is that you normally eat lunch and breakfast in cafes and dinner in restaurants (that’s in Norway tho).
«The Princess and the Frog» is a very cool movie. Tiana a very hardworking girl who achieved everything herself, and I am sure that therefore she became a role model for many girls, because, as you said, not everyone wants to live in the castle. And it seems that this video made me go and re-watch «The Princess and the Frog»...

New Orleans is very hot and muggy. it's so humid your clothes are heavier. I was there for a conference once in the middle of the summer and I was dying, I'm from up north in the US lol.
I live in New Orleans and the whether sucks especially with climate change. I always humid and the summers are unbearable.😭😭 and it rains a lot. And now with climate change not only do we actually get winter now but it's 30 degrees one day and 87 the next morning then cold again by that night.

A girl and a guy are turned into frogs, of course it’s not a realistic, but it’s just a movie 😊 and no one claimed to know the culture after visiting for a week! The same could be said about every place on the planet 😊

This is beautiful. Tiannas main colors are purple and green. Also there are many fire places in NOLA so good call!

If you use mods there is this mod by LittleMsSam where lots can be set to be multifunctional. Liveable restaurants and cafes!
