Engine sounds good, clutch noise could be throw out bearing, maybe it could need grease. Be a good machine to have around for sure. The steering could be the cylinder needs to be re sealed possibly.
@@CASE-580L-MAN Glad you got it going. I have a '64 530 diesel I'm working on. I think Dig (above) might be correct with the steering cylinder needing a possible reseal. I got my 530 planning on doing a extensive rebuild with an eye to original, but the more I start looking for parts (you're looking for a gauge cluster) the more I think of just fabricating and forgoing original. Took me forever to find some of these parts. Keep posting, I'm very interested in how it goes for you.

@@drzorbo3770 I repacked the steering cylinders and it still turns the one way but I have did a lot of work to it and it runs good

I've, got the same backhoe. 1966, case 530 Ck. 188 diesel case. the only difference BETWEEN youres and MIND is I have A OPEN cab.
on the steering you ASKED about check the hydraulic fluid.
