Exactly. And he has been made agriculture minister.
We need reforms. And if not reforms, atleast MSP should be handed over to state govts, so that some equity is there between states on procurement and enterprising states can pursue reforms.

May be the elections took BJP back to pre-2014. But, this happened for good. That Nadda guy should be demoted for his arrogant mouth against RSS. It is not Modi but it was Shah who was trying to become stronger by getting rid of Modi's equivalents from potential competition. Gadkari ji did not get his due respect. Khattar ji, Mama ji... many more such leaders were insulted. I still cannot digest how BJP can can deny RSS's influence? But, very very glad that RSS is back to show who is the real force.

Don't compare Khattar to the rest. He was appointed over more popular BJP leaders in Haryana like Anil Vij and Rao Inderjit Singh and Chaudhary Birender Singh only at the behest of Modi-Shah because they wanted a weak, low-profile leader who would not assert themselves the way Shivraj and Gadkari do. He is very unpopular in Haryana today.

It's actually a good thing if second-rung leaders get to have a say in running the BJP again because it has hurt them having to rely solely on Modi and Shah with all the CMs, ministers etc. not saying anything and not campaigning.
On the other hand it must be remembered that these other leaders wouldn't have managed to get BJP up to even 240 seats if they had been in charge instead of Modi and Shah. Gadkari is not well known outside Maharashtra. Shivraj Chouhan may be really popular in Madhya Pradesh but he wouldn't be able to get any votes for the BJP in places like UP or Bihar or Karnataka.
For a real 'Double Engine' the BJP needs to have both a strong central leadership and strong state leaders like the above names.

I liked some of the videos of DK Singh in the past. But this video is one of the stupidest also like I observed many times in the past DK forgets what he said in a video after 6 months and try to bring out a conspiracy theory in the new video out of lame instances.
Anyways, there are numerus examples of Gadkariji saying something independently. Before becoming the DyCM, Fadnavis openly said he did not want to be one and focus on strengthening the party. So saying something openly by Fadnavis is not new.
When BJP made a Yadav CM in MP, and asked Shivraj-ji to contest for MP election as part of BJP's transition plan for ex CMs itself it was clear that he was going to become Union Agri Minister. In fact many experienced jurnos had tweeted about this a year ago. In fact he has been given additional charge of Rural development ministry due to the margin of his victory and also due to less # of BJP's ministers in the new cabinet.

Democracy is not an end in itself. What people want is good governance and reforms to help usher economic growth. Democracy doesn't mean, opposing everything for the sake of it. If tomorrow BJP loses power, will the other side accept blind opposition from BJP ? This is not healthy. Rahul Gandhi has taken Congress towards left like Indira Gandhi and is threatening to derail economic growth. He is disrupting all possibility of consensus on reforms, by spreading Adani-Ambani conspiracy theories, and misinformation on loan-writeoffs, when in fact there should be discussion on evergreening of bad loans under UPA, which left NDA to cleanup the mess.

    DK ji,
Off late, there is a shift in your shows, very subtle though !
We perceive you as one of the very few Journos and perhaps only one in The Print who understands RSS and BJP thoroughly .
With all that knowledge , do you still believe Shiraj and Gadkari etc sulk if they are not in the cabinet ?And , do you really believe Modi ji will be behaving so petty that he will ignore Gadkari's and Shiv Raj's contributions ?
Is there some fishing in troublked waters going on to
build a narrative to support someone?
    Apppreciate knowing your honest opinion.
    Good day.

As always DK sir you have proved that why there are two kind of journalist exists in India 1 is DK and 2 is rest of the remaining journalist. I wonder some day you can bring an dedicated episode on analysis and reasons behind ticket distribution by BJP in some important states where BJP faced voters got dismayed and their wrath for BJP and candidates failed miserably. E.g. The actual most plausible reasons behind not giving tickets to some stalwarts like Former army general from Gaziabad and giving tickets to corrupt/ unpopular leaders like Kripashankar singh. Eagerly waiting for next politically correct episode

nothing success like success and flip side, failure brings attention with criticism. Fair enough. Here is my take: Modi delegated too much of party decisions to Nadda and Shah; the former should not have been in the cabinet; Shah continued to run the party on his own- Modi should not have allowed it. Second, 400+ clarion call got too heady: so much that Modi burnt his bridges with Patnaik, a staunch ally for all seasons. Some kind of redistribution of power between Modi/Shah and the regional satraps is good for the party- Chauhan , Yogii are good example. Modi 3.0 cannot roar , may be deliver something concrete -Iterms of economy and settle any suggestion of succession battles - which nearly routed the party in UP.This is like the Corp strategy guy vying for the CEO position with the business head out on the field. That tells you how Corporatised BJP has become with power.

If someone takes 1 step back doesn’t mean they are weak. Give few months and you would see their isn’t any difference.
Modi doesn’t want to stick to chair and appear weak, he will quit if that’s the case and new government will not run its course and when there are elections again you would see he will get majority again.

Surely positive criticism is good for every party. Note that BJP is still popular party and if they atleast try to nurture their loyalist or say earlier karyakartas who sticked with them, have good relation with RSS, solve farmers, students and women issues they can get even 350 seats in coming lok Sabha. BJP has seen really positive growth in south which can even make them get 2/3 rd majority if they solve farmers issue, students issue(employment and stop paper leeks) and introduce some more women related schemes.
