Imagine you scored and no one notices it 😢
Imagine if you don't score, and the linesman thinks you did?
@@Ese96AgoayeHand of GOD 😅
Worst part is the goal wasn't given
Same shi happened to me(Sunday league). So u scored but didn’t celebrate because my team was pissing me off but unfortunately for me there was a hole in the net and the ball went through and went out so the ref said it wasn’t a goal because well “I didn’t celebrate” 😭😭
Imagine scoring but the ball goes through a hole in side netting so the ref doesn't give it
Disgusting, this game must be replayed with all the same players

@@whatmynamesaysbro it's in 1999 not 1899 why would you think that 💀
"Only once has a goal been scored without anyone seeming to notice." Or it may have happened dozens of times, it's just that nobody has noticed it yet. That's the problem: it's difficult to notice things not being noticed.
Underrated comment
This is completely true. the title of the short video is a bit misleading
My brain is not braining
i was just about to write this
Maybe in non-recorded football but in recorded football every goal's getting noticed by SOMEONE
Mark Hughes..one of the finest football Volleyers ever. During the 98/99 season at Southampton he received a total 14 yellow cards a record that has not been exceeded to date(Palhinha still has the chance)..no wonder when you have joke of a situations like this you are left with nothing but frustration.. though it doesn't change the fact he had disciplinary issues throughout his career...
I am pretty sure Lee Cattermole broke that mold.
@@JarvisPen Mark Hughes ain't the only player to receive 14 yellow cards during a season in Premiere league Era.. there are 6 other players along with him who are tied on this & Lee cattermole is one of them.
@@R.MadridMessi-Cr7Barcaif only ramos or Pepe played in England
The reverse of this happened in a Chelsea match in about 1972, against Ipswich i think. Alan Hudson hit a shot which went wide but through a hole in the side-netting, ending up inside the goal.
Neither Hudson nor his teammates appealed or celebrated, and to their bemusement and Ipswich's fury, the referee insisted it was a goal. It stood, and Chelsea won 2-1.
That happened with leverkusen too😅
yeah
@@TheGreekCountryball7 yeah
If we all ignore it, it won't count
Schrodinger's goal
Does that mean if we pretend we sclred a goal it counts?
Lets shut city down
Similar thing happened earlier this season for my team (QPR) against West Brom, albeit it was a handball. An unlikely overhead kick from outside the box by Steve Cook was saved off the line by a spectacular diving header from Cedric Kipre ... Only it wasnt a header at all. He had dived for the ball but then moved his hand and slapped it away unbeknownst to ANYONE in the crowd. I sit right behind the goal in the upper loft and from my angle it looked like a header but replays have shown it was a sneaky handball lol.
Well off to St.Mary's stadium and there's been a goal, but for who Chris Kamara?
....
I dunno Jeff.
Has it? I must have missed that.
Haha top tier reference
Only once… that we know of 👀

that board should be a goalie
Nah, we just didn't notice the rest
The reverse happened in Germany some years ago when the ball hit the goals net from the outside and went through a hole that went unnoticed before. The ball was inside the goal and a goal was given but tv cameras noticed it. One of the moments were the VAR would have helped
Yes, i was thinking about that moment to. With the striker Kießling from bayer leverkussen if im correct
How do we know it was a goal? Tv perspective post game?
I remember watching it on Match of the Day. I don't think it was a feature game. But the camera angle made it clear it hit the advertising hoarding.
Also, it was part of footballing culture not to complain to referees.
his stint at man city was similarly unnoticed
If you notice this notice you will notice that this notice is not worth noticing
Soon you will notice that This notice is worth noticing if u notice that the notices are useless but still notices while being a notice.
I remember this, I was at the game! We did cheer and couldn't believe when the ref disallowed it.
So how does this even get resolved, and how do we know it went in
I was at the game, a lot of the fans, including myself, had seen it go in and did cheer but then couldn't believe when the ref disallowed it
POV: You try some trickshot and fail in front of everyone. You then do it and they weren't looking so they say you're capping 😭
Surely you'd notice/hear it hit the advertising board though? So surely a goal kick would have been given instead
Astonishing video, did you see how the ball bounced in and out of goal? 😂😂
The correct title should be: "the goal that people noticed went unnoticed"😂😂
Everyone took notice in 2013 that Kießling did the opposite for Leverkusen against Hoffenheim!
- YEEESSS! I scored!
- nuh uh
Feels more like a "huh, did you?" with no-one really reacting xD
I knew straight away it was Mark Hughes when the video started. As a Leeds fan i hated him from his Man U playing days so I was double happy when he scored (or didn't score)
Swear that’s an image of Wayne bridge and not mark Hughes lol
Not watched this yet, but I guess it's Mark Hughes for Southampton when then ball flew in and hit the hoarding behind, making it bounce straight back. So it looked like it went wide to the ref and linesman.
It also happened when mason mount scored for man united i dont remember the team he scored against and i dont remember how he scored it
You’d think that would happen often when the advertising boards are right behind the goal 😂
Aly Dya never shared pitch with Le Tissier for Southampton against Leeds not in 1999, but in 1996 and they should have been kept Dya.
"nobody noticed"
The players left the chat
Well there you go. I always thought it was Le Tissier who scored this non-goal.
How much was a player like Hughes on at Southampton at the time? And I wonder how much a player of today with similar calibre and reputation would get for ending their career at Southampton
Then how do you know? If nobody saw it then how can you know it was a goal?
Probably footage? They probably knew after the game when Hughes told people and they reviewed the footage.
They boycotted his goal out of existence 😂😂😂
I wonder what VAR would say
Imagine that was a winning goal and nobody notice it😢
he the only one noticed and wait until today to make this short 🔥🔥🔥🗣️🗣️🗣️
Reminds me of the Jesse Lingard goal at the Emirates that oddly flew out after going in off the post at hitting the mic or camera (I forget) in behind the goal. Ofc nowhere near as odd as this
I remember that. I thought it was in the championship. Crazy stuff. 😂
Aren't all premier league games recorded? I know VAR didn't exist then but it could at least've been used to help
Lol imagine if there was VAR , they would still not give goal 😂
"The goal that nobody noticed" when an entire stand jumped up and celebrated, as is clearly shown on the easily searchable highlights.
Why lie
Spot on! I was at the game.
nah imagine that wouldve been his 100th goal for the team ever and no one saw it.
Bros name-calling 🔥🔥
Who’s here after Southampton beat Leeds to get promoted to the EPL?
1999, and there were red team fans using smartphones
Pity for that 1k people who are subscribed to you
"I just scored."
"Did you?"
"Yes."
"Doesn't count."
What was the final score
3-0 to Leeds with a Michael Bridges hat-trick
@@anonymousjohn6491 thanks...
I was at that match
This once happened in the irsih league rhe bsll went in but stuck the post behind the goal which sent it back out. Yhe referee was suspended after that as in this situation the crowd and players noticed and were not happy haha
This is why we need to keep var
Goal line technology
Imagine Joe Gomez finally scored his first senior career goal and nobody noticed it 😫
Whoa
Nobody noticed? Then how are we talking about it?
Finally, found Waldo
Sheffield United got the ball over the line against Aston Villa but because the referee's watch didn't indicate the ball had crossed the line, (because the goalmouth was very crowded with players) it wasn't allowed.
If Nobody Saw , Then How Do You Know ?
Well technically u noticed cuz ur telling it to us…😂
Damn it the coincidence, today Southampton defeated Leeds to reach the EPL
Imagine the butterfly effect, had that goal been given!!! Maybe ipswich town would've been the current pl champions playing under pep guardiola. Maybe Bebe would have been all time highest pl goal scorer. You never know!!
Bro pls do bursaspor about 2010 champion of turkish super league
but since nobody saw it who saw it finally ????
How do we truly know it only happened once? What if happens all the time and we just aren't noticing?
As a Southampton fan, I feel robbed
Just show us
intersting
If nobody noticed, how do you noticed??
Nobody noticed at the time
Magic!
like south africa 2010. england says something about a goal, Neuer threw the ball as usual right into the opposite box, africaans were all: BROOOOOOM
how did you notice :0
Of course it's Mark Hughes.
How'd you notice?
But people want VAR gone😂
Who's watching today when Southampton played Leeds?
so how does he know..
Sounds like Sears
They really needed VAR
Not really, the best teams won the best silverware and the worst teams went down, all without ruining the fan experience, year in year out

If nobody saw the goal how can you know it was scored?
Would have been recorded for highlights, definitely in 1999 but no easy way of playing it back live & no VAR of course
Ummmm... Video evidence? 😭 You do realise that the first video camera was invented in 1918 and not the 2000s right?
Omg
There were camera's
So, how'd you know it's a goal?
so theres this insane piece of technology called a camera

You mean Aly Dya and never worked with Le Tissier
Would be nice if they actually showed it but yea

Of course it was a volley
Was the goal _scored_ though? (The number on the scoreboard increases)
Of course nobody noticed it
