The "Spaccanapoli" she sings about is the ancient center of the core Greek city of Neapolis, and the main street that goes directly E-W splitting it in half (spaccare = to split). I lived in Napoli as an American sailor 1987-1991 (Maradona era con SSC Napoli, man how blessed I was) and this song fires up every bit of the fierce love I acquired for the ordinary Neapolitans and there attitude of live and survival. You would not see this style of music or dance north of Rome.
