    Emergency rooms in the US often have hours long waits. Even going to your normal doctor with a scheduled appointment takes 20-40 minute waits. Doctors are scheduled with 15 minute appointments which is insane because they always go over time. Everything in the US is driven by profit and the insurance industry. It sucks.

    I just moved back to Ontario from Alberta. Sales tax is 5 percent. Fuel, groceries, housing is as expensive as the rest of canada. You homeschool so this won't be a concern, alberta spends the least in public education. Doctor scarcity is getting better and wait times to see specialist is quite good. Weather, summer is very dry and can be very hot 40 plus but not a lot of humidity. Winter, you can reach Temps of minus 57. When you get a major snowdump it is less than a foot at the most. Then a Chinook comes through and you have plus Temps.

    • @mamatofive1
      @mamatofive1  4 ชั่วโมงที่ผ่านมา

      That is a big difference here in Ontario with the snow…especially living close to the Great Lakes, we can get a LOT!

    Y’all should move to the southern United States. It’s definitely more conservative, closer to beaches, so much warmer and Lord willing a lot better cost of living soon!! I live in North Texas, so you might not want that hot of weather 9 months out of the year! 😆

    Im the same with movies! I dont enjoy them at all. I finally realized it was because i get too invested and feel really stressed during the whole thing. But reality game showes, i really enjoy as well.

    In the UK road signs are in miles per hour & milk is still sold in pints, even though everything else is in metric

      That’s crazy! Canadians for the most part think in kilometres, and temps in Celsius, yet some thermostats (like ours) are in farenheit. And food is measured in kg, but I still have to translate that to lb to understand if it’s a good deal. We’re in this spot between the UK and the U.S., and can’t quite pick one side. 😂

    Eastern Ontario here, wow, I figured bigger/other cities might be different on the front of waiting in the emergency room for hours. I love the universal health care on the one hand that it is very simple, but it definitely is far from a perfect system.

      I would love to know if you have a resource/video you could share about doing taxes in Canada as a content creator. I am only making a very tiny amount but I am a bit anxious for that😂

      I love our beaches!! They are so nice! We visit one during camping that is just lovely and so many sweet memories. Definitely agree, Ontario has some beautiful water front areas too.

    We ordered a big order from the Canadian Maplelea doll company. Surprisingly they offered free shipping if you spent x amount. And I was pleasantly surprised by the prices compared to the American Girl doll company. Factor in the current exchange rate and it was a steal. We love the Maplelea doll company. Wish we were Canadian. Btw surprised your girls don’t own a lovely Maplelea doll

    Big huge differs French and English language. We have no official language but unofficially it is English.
    And we have an absolutely insane gun culture. It is truly sick.

    Have you lost your mind?? Canada is a Country, NOT the size of a state. I’m older than you so I didn’t get child benefit payments from the government. With 5 children you must get a pretty good sum. We are blessed to have the health care that we have. We might be short of DR’s but fewer people don’t want to be Dr’s. Did you get a carbon tax check? I didn’t pay a school tuition, it came out of my property tax. Our government is in shambles right now but would you want tRUMP to be your leader. He’s a frikken idiot. I’m a very proud Canadian who has been blessed to live here. I wouldn’t want to live anywhere else. In Saskatchewan i know a handful of people who own guns, there used for hunting once a year. We don’t have guns. We buy half a beef. 🇨🇦🇨🇦🇨🇦👍👍👍👍

      Canada is absolutely too big to be one state…this was a question asked jokingly with Trump’s recent statement that he wants to take over Canada. There are many blessings living here for sure, and I’m thankful for it. But we can still look around and consider what would be the best location for us to raise a family 😊
