"Why's Everybody Always Pickin' on Me?" is far from serious, but it's the closest thing I can think of to a Bloodhound Gang hit. It actually got a fair amount of alternative radio play back in the day, which is pretty amazing considering its biggest lyrical hook is a guy shouting "THE DRUMMER FROM DEF LEPPARD'S ONLY GOT ONE ARM!"
I think Jimmy Pop's best bars are probably in "Lift Your Head Up High (and Blow Your Brains Out)", though. "Life's short and hard like a body-building elf" is one for the ages.

This song is classic. It is premised upon the 1984 hip-hop single "The Roof is on Fire" by Rock Master Scott and the Dynamic Three (an 80's hip-hop name if I've ever heard one) and references a lot of music and pop culture from the 70's through the 90's. My favorite references are the lines " I'm not black like Barry White (a famous soul singer from the 1970's). I'm white like Frank Black (lead singer of late 80's and early 90's influential alternative band Pixies, who you guys should definitely check out)" and then goes on to paraphrase some lines from the Pixies hit "Monkey Gone to Heaven".
My personal favorite Bloodhound Gang song from back in the day was "The Lapdance is so Much Better (When the Stripper is Crying)" although it is definitely crass and borderline offensive, especially these days. Thanks y'all. I always enjoy hearing your takes on this oldies

With amazing word play such as “I’m hung like planet Pluto, hard to see with the naked eye and if I crashed into Uranus I would stick it where the sun don’t shine” Jimmy Pop is an underrated song writer.
    Genuinely good band.

The numbers are a reference to a song by the Pixies called Monkey Gone to Heaven. Right before those lyrics he says he’s ‘white like Frank Black is’ - who is the lead singer for the Pixies.
Here are the Pixies lyrics -
If man is 5, if man is 5
If man is 5, then the devil is 6
Then the devil is 6, then the devil is 6
The devil is 6, and if the devil is 6
Then god is 7, then god is 7
    Then god is 7

I remember back in the day Howard Stern used to brag that the lead singer was an intern for his show for 1 day before his record deal got signed ... and now for my daily request .. please review The Decemberists "The Crane Wife" "Yankee Bayonet" "The Infanta" or " The Mariner's Revenge Song"

Jimmy did get a internship with him, and got the deal at the same time and if I recal went in for one day, just to say he did it.

Since they reference it in this song, yall should check out The Pixies “This Monkeys Gone to Heaven”. Their lead singer is Frank Black, the guy he mentions at one point.

Love how you guys are still covering BHG 😋 even though it’s comedic music, I’d consider Jimmy Pop and amazing emcee, his rhymes are so intelligent. I know there isn’t a music video for these songs, but I’d love for you guys to react to “I’m the Least You Could Do” or “No Hard Feelings” sometime 🔥🔥🔥

When he says "I'm not black like Barry White, no I am white like Frank Black is", he's referencing Frank Black (a.k.a. Black Francis), the frontman of the Pixies. The next few lines reference their song "Monkey Gone To Heaven", which is a great song itself.
