I made a 53 on my first Biology exam. That is with reading every single chapter in the College textbooks. The next exam I watched your videos, and didn't read any from the textbook.. Made a 97. Thank you! You have helped so much
HE DIDNT SAY "i hope that's helpful".... there is no hope left on Earth...
he saved that "i hope that's helpful" for part two
@@prestonmichael7843 thank god
"And you can't get a nobel prize if you die..." Lol. I love this guy.
Thanks a lot for this video! It was very helpful.
Hillary Fan lets go TRUMP!!!
+Scott Beyer Racing ... I hate my name
We are supposed to watch this as homework for my biology class but your videos are very interesting and I wouldn't mind watching them for fun :)
What are the answers bruh
I never know why AT and GC always go together. it makes it more interesting than just having to memorize stuff. Thank you.
I always go to your channel when I have a science test coming up and need to review, study and take notes! Thank you for explaining it very well!
Soooo can you please be my biology prof? Mine sucks...:/ it's honestly sad how I have to spend time in class and then have to go on TH-cam to actually learn. In any case carry on dude you're awesome
"And you can't get a Nobel prize if you die" 😂😂😂 I died
+Vy Pham So you can't get a Nobel Prize
+Epic Pander how witty ;-)
Vy Pham Reply after a year ftw!
Aw that sucks, now you can’t get a nobel prize 😂
thats sad because she cant get rewarded for her work
Martha Chase didn't "go crazy," she suffered from dementia. Big difference.
i don't know how i appreciate you ...you are doing really really good..
Does anybody else have to watch this on an e-learning day because of the coronavirus? hello Olympia High School students if you’re here 🤣
I do this year 😖
This man is basically Mr.Strong's father. Without him I could not function. I love this man.
No homo tho.
without him i would fail bio
SAME
Thank u ...u have just helped the society
i really like the big concept map you do before you go into detail with these lessons, but i think it would be helpful if you kept a small picture of the concept map in the corner to keep track of where we are in the lesson!
YOU ARE AMAZING ! Thank godddd youre on youtube
your videos are helping me ace my college biology final
you are truly amazing!
you're videos are SO helpful!
Holy, you are a really skilled teacher.
forced to watch another one of your videos for homework
+Rubbert Same here😭😭
+Roberto I hope you were forced to enjoy and learn from this video too. Cause I certainly did.
same
That's a good thing
im useing your vids to get me through bio i came in late and youve saved my sorry but on all but one test thank you
Taking the AP Biology Exam tomorrow. Definitely getting a 1 or a 2 on this :/. I just cannot understand how people understand all of this. Is it memorization? How does it come easily to people? I have struggled with this course all year. :( I am normally the Math freak and loved Calculus.
+Mr. Cool In the same boat here man, good luck
+nicolas karos Good to luck to you too man!
AP Bio to me is all about memorization of key facts and applying it many different ways and to many concepts.
What did you end up getting???
yeah how'd you do?
He didn't say "...and so I hope that's helpful"
Please tell me I’m not the only one who thinks he looks like Toby from the office 😂
And Micheal is the jealous teacher, who is not as good as Mr Anderson.🥲
IF IT LOOKS EASY....I DOUBT YOUR EXPLANATION!
I love you man. You're saving my grade
Very helpful! Thank you! Bozeman Science :)))
I am Chrysler k
you sir are a gentleman and a scholar
your way of teaching is awesome, like your videos
This right here is the perfect example of kids you meet in highschool that can't stop bragging about taking advance classes.
"And you can't get a Nobel Prize if you're dead." Lol. You're videos really help with AP Bio! :D
AP Bio is usually offered to Sophomores and above, not freshmen. Bio honors/regular is a prereq for AP bio and other AP sciences at our school.
Yea I know b/c of what I'm planning to major in I'll have to take some bio courses in college as well
your videos are amazing!!!!!!!!i learned a lot from them.thank you.
Thank you soo much, I understand Biology so much better now
Martha Chase experienced dementia. She did not "go crazy". What's sad is that Hershey didn't acknowledge her involvement for years and she was unappreciated throughout her life and career.
Really wonderful
Thanks alot.....😊😊😊😊
You do such an awesome job!!!
very informative and educational video, very thankful .
Your videos are so helpful, thank you!
love your vids for my ap bio class
Im in 7th grade Science, this is so easy. Well not like THUPER EASY, just enough so that i know what he's talking about. Your videos are really easy to understand and i love watching them for fun! Thanks :)
Do you still watch them for fun even tho you like 23 now? 😂
Gonna ace my quiz tomorrow!!
Hi ! Can you you have a video of DNA packing ? I love all your videos! So easy to understand!
Aside from that it's ridiculous in the first place how Nobel Prizes aren't given posthumously... Rosalind Franklin was not recognized for her contribution to discovering the double helix probably until a long time after her death due to the sexism in the scientific circle back in the days. Any acknowledgement to her was fairly muted and almost always coupled with Wilkins' name. It's quite sad actually.
I've noticed people are always talking about the huge yet forgotten role Franklin had in the discovery of the structure of DNA,but everyone's forgetting about Chargaff. He didn't get a Nobel prize either and his discovery was as important as Franklin's
YO WHAT UP CONROYS CLASSSSSS!
You are awesome!
I guess it depends where you go to school. I didn't have a Honors Bio class in my middle school which I'm guessing you did or at least you took it prior to entering high school. I didn't have that opportunity.
YOU ARE AWESOME!!!!!!!!
Can you please be my AP Biology teacher!
Taking my NMAT this coming October
Thank you so much! Hopefully I score a really high on my test on this.
Great video!! Im finally starting to get this :D
I never bragged about being in an Honors Bio class so how am I thinking highly of myself? I actually sometimes feel that I don't deserve to be in advanced classes so contrary to your belief I am not a narcissistic & vain honors student, just a girl. Anyways, I was just a bit puzzled by the fact that the other person had that material on a college bio test & like someone pointed out before, the material expressed in the video is not really college bio material (unless used for review purposes).
The Hershey Chase experiment used radioactive isotopes, not dyes as stated in the video.
I'm studying about this in high school right now.
I'm watching this video for our semi-final exam tomorrow...
Thank you, you're very helpful!
It's really good
"and you can't get a nobel prize if you die.." haha idk why that made me laugh (x
Yea looking back I don't consider it unfair. I was never much of a fan of biology and I was stressed over my final so I guess wasn't in the best state of mind to be posting that comment. Anyways, best of luck with your major in biology! Personally, I find it biology interesting yet it's not really my favorite subject.
Martha Chase didn't "go crazy", she suffered from dementia. And "mental illness" or "mental health problems" would be a much nicer way to call it anyway.
stfu
How am I being ignorant? I'm sorry that I was unaware that one is tested on this in college. I haven't been in college so I wouldn't know yet. Ignorant? No. Naïve maybe be a better choice of word. Not to mention that you're "surprised" that a student who works her butt off in school is in an advanced class. Lastly, how do you blatantly tell someone they are trash from a comment on a TH-cam video? Sorry, I didn't know I had told you my whole life story in that comment.
if I come and visit Bozeman can I sit in on one of your classes?
Why is there a slight variation between the percentage of A and T or G and C?
I never said that. I was saying that why were both of us learning that same material at such different points in our academic career. Secondly, I'm not brainwashed. I know my generation isn't the best but honestly if you're so grown up, why are you stereotyping/generalizing?
been there feel you bro!
who else got this shit for homework
"(...)and you can´t get a nobel price if you die" lmao :DD
lol. I think the person meant "college biology" in high school, as in a college course and honors course. no way in college would students need to review such simple material. They should have these basics down. And I wouldnt call it "unfair"; I'm majoring in Biology by choice.
answered my questions!! tkx
So how does chromosome 14 fit in this picture, I've been hearing a lot of info how C-14 if turned away or embraced that dictates if the body heals itself or not? Thx
Good!!
I don't brag, why does everyone assume that all the people who take advanced classes brag? Unfortunately, many people know I'm in advanced classes but only b/c word just kind of gets around & I've been in advanced since I was young. Anyways, I hate when people know b/c they sometimes take advantage of me & teachers from my normal classes automatically expect more from me. There's more pressure put on you from peers & educators so it's not always fun, contrary to some people's beliefs.
Do you support genetically engineered foods? are they safe?
He didnt ask if it was helpful!!! :o
+the-screem-queen check part 2 of the podcast c:
Thankyouu!
franklin did all the work
"And you can't get a Nobel prize if you die." 10:06
For the Hershey Chase experiment I thought they labeled the phosphorus an sulfur with radioactive "tags" not dye
they did not use dye. they just used radioactivity. it was illustrated with dye because radioactivity cannot be seen in pictures.
Hi my friend " I had A dream A couple off weeks back were I so my Cells being laserd bi mini lacers ... And just before I woke up ' I heard DNA to RNA" watt does this mean I've had A Lot off lucid dreams off late 'butt this one had words and I heard RNA " thanks ".❤️❤️❤️⚔"
imagine disliking this. wtf
He's laughing bc Rosalind Franklin wasn't given much credit, when she was the one who helped discover the structure of DNA the most 👀OOF
"you can't get a Nobel prize if you die" looooool
He's not disparaging the college kid, he's just wondering why they didn't get the opportunity to learn it sooner. That's the only way the "unfairness" he mentions makes sense. No need to be derisive.
mmm so it's just a coincidence that Franklin was the only woman involved and the only one not to get the Nobel Prize? highly unlikely..
+Ayako G It's less because she's a woman and more because they stole her work and didn't give her credit.
The scientific community didn't learn she was involved until after her death, and the award isn't given posthumously.
+Ayako G Yep. She died.
martha chase wasn't included in the nobel prize that alfred hershey won for the experiment that they did TOGETHER. it's sad how many women weren't honored for their scientific contributions
i took AP Bio when i was a freshman...why are u in honors? i was 14
What is this dye bullshit? Hershey and Chase used radioactive labeled sulfur and phosphorous and that picture is actually just taken from wikipedia where it was intended to just be a visualization.
Looks like you are right. The problem is that in wiki picture not explained, so e.g. I as not an expert could only guess colors on picture means nothing, I just checked colors of the elements - piles are red/white and yellow, but single atoms could be different color, doesn't they - not sure? Could you or somebody reading this who is expert edit wiki? Frankly I'm lazy to try to use wiki tools to ask for page edit - they are not that user friendly IMHO.
@Dudodit yup. that's so sad..
Please get rid of the Lumosity adds. I came here to learn about Biology not listen to some false advertisement.
Just cause they're in college doesn't mean they're taking super hard courses. I know people who are in college taking Algebra II. On the other end of the spectrum im a senior in high school taking AP calc.
U help me on my test
SHOUTOUT IF YOU'RE FROM MS. HENDERSON'S CLASS BREH.
chase went crazy further in life
If you are majoring in Bio in college (I am) and going into med school (I am) then you need to take many college bio courses. I took hnrs bio like you AND ap bio in highschool and now I'm taking college bio. the fundamentals are taught in each class, but gets harder and more detailed in each class. there is no way you are learning exactly what college bio is learning but there are similarities. nice try tho...but it is not unfair
poderia ter legendado né .. kkk
sou do Brasil, dou aulas de Biologia.
College Bio Test? I'm in Honors Bio & I'm a freshman in high school & my final for this is tomorrow. Anyways why are you in college learning this & I'm 15? The unfairness is astounding ._.
yo dawg gimme the answers for my homework
