Some of my favorites I discovered in 2022 was the CT cream shadow exaggereyes, makeup by Mario ethereal eyes palette, Chantecaille lip veil in freesia, and the Chantecaille future skin gel foundation (I wish I would have tried this sooner, it’s beautiful). I put the Chanel pink body lotion on on my arms & legs & went out to meet some friends. When I arrived they were all asking me what perfume I had on. They could all smell this beautiful scent of the pink lotion. It’s so lovely. Thank you for these reviews Angela ❤

Thank you for you hits and misses of 2022. It truly gives a great overview of the makeup and skincare to look out for and ones to just get samples of to see if it works for me. It’s a wonderful money and time saver. I’m 59 years old and my skin is beautiful with minimal lines, I’m truly blessed to have inherited that from my mother. Since I use all of the Sublimage skincare and makeup it helps me keep this young glowing skin. I do like the new Sublimage under eye concealer. It doesn’t smudge or move on me. It stays in place and doesn’t sink into any fine lines that I have (like I said, I only have a few) so, it’s a must have in my book. The smallest amount is needed and perhaps trying a smaller amount might help get the effect you are looking for. It truly lasts all day on me. Again, thank you for the overview and it reminds me of things I need to try.
Hi TiaRia :) Thank you so much for sharing your tips. I must admit that you inspired me o use the sublimage concealer tomorrow. :) I love some products from the Sublimage line. Probably my favorite products are the fine cream and the L'Essence Fondamentale. The L'Essence Fondamentale makes a diffrenec in my skin but it's so expensive that I only used it once. I recently tried the cream with the Sublimage cream texture supreme and I loved it. I have a generous sample and I use it as a mask. It's calming and plumping :) Once again thank you for watchin my videos and have a great day! xoxo

Hi there. Excellent video. Thank you. My biggest disappointment was definitely the Chanel number 1 serum. Very drying fir my skin. The best was actually a perfume and body lotion by Chanel Paris Paris.
I reallly like the CT Sophisticate palette. Definitely a beauty staple. Perfect for those occasions in life where a subdued, sophisticated look is necessary. Like a wedding, funeral, jury duty, job interview etc. For professional women, I could see this being a favorite.

Thank you so much for your comments. I tried the Chanel Sublimage concealer and it was cakey and highlighted my dark circles. Thankfully, my SA made me a sample so I didn’t waste my money. But good to know I’m not alone. On the other hand, I love the Sisley concealer. The peachy tone really helps with coverage and the formula doesn’t dry me out. I don’t even have to set it with powder.
Holly, what is your skin type? I've heard so many rave reviews about the Sublimage concealer and I was about to go buy it.

I’ve been using this concealer once it landed in Australia last October. It’s ok but I wouldn’t call it ground breaking. I get irritated with it being in a pot also, which makes it difficult trying to get out as you only want a tiny amount (as it’s so concentrated). I notice it also emphasising my bags and lines more, and even my 20 year old daughter (who is also a skin and makeup lover like me) hates it. I do love their sublimage foundation,definitely suits my dry 45 year old skin.

I really like the Chanel Sublimage under eye concealer. I think it works for my 53 year old eyes because it’s hydrating (my skin is dry from retinol). I have found that it is easy to apply way too much, resulting in a cakey look. It says to apply the product to the back of your hand, then from there use the brush included to apply under the eyes and finally, use a finger to perfect. When I use this technique, I get the most flawless coverage that lasts all day. I like it better than the tube Chanel concealer and the Giorgio Armani concealer. Great video!
I’m almost 58 and thinking it might work for me too since I’m older than Angela.
@@tammysummerswoodbeck1353 i am 45 and it works a miracle with me. The hydrating formula is really the best for my under eyes. I couldn't make the sisley one work as it is not as hydrating and needs a lot of effort for my dry under skin to work. But the sublimage is literally amazing. Stays on all day, doesn't need setting either. the only down part is the pot... not very handy container for a concealer but oh well...

Thank you for sharing your discoveries and fails from 2022. My own favorites include the Sisley concealer (thank God they extended the shade range), the Kosas concealer (I have to mix two shades), the Westman atelier stick blushes, highlighter and liquid eyeshadows from violette_fr, the Guerlain tinted lip balms (also created by Violette). I found the Vanicream facial spf. I have Rosacea and extremely reactive skin and this spf is perfect.

My fails were many of the CT products and the Chanel corrector (not a new product).
My favorite highlighter has been the Burberry in rose gold. It doesn’t have glitter. It illustrates the skin and looks so natural.

Now i understand thats its not for you, when i was 35, i would not like lt either. I used to use very little of makeup, black eye pencil, ysl highlighter/ concealer, and YSL faux lash mascara … Chantecaille pink skin tint, is another amazing product, also their lotus collection luminizer ( super natural) WA pink bubble powder, Chanel oversized bronzer, as it comes to eyeshadow, the most two my favorites is chanel Tweed No 4 and LE Vega. Actually LE eyeshadows, to me, are the most amazing eyeshadows ever. Can wait when they restock sorcery. Blush Chanel water fresh , gucci . Love Chanel amber coat for nails. It looks like gold dust, on red nail polish. Mascara Chanel Allure Noir. Chanel coco Mademoiselle oil is amazing discovery , new to me, oh and also Suqqu pre holiday cooler eyeshadow palette and pure color blushes. Have a blessed day🙏🧡

They may look a little less exciting, but I found them very useful and they reminded me of the 1990’s Supermodel look. My least favorite was the YSL blushers in a powder. They hard panned quite quickly. I guess I need to scrape off the surface to finish them up. I hope Angela and all of you had a great start of the new year and have a great weekend! 😄🥰❤️💝💕🍀🧧

Happy New Year 🎉 I recently tried the Chanel cream bronzer and I love it. Although my aging skin is oily, this bronzer gives a nice warm glow even when lightly set with loose powder.
Wow, finally a genuine review about sublimage concealer. I cannot appreciate enough for your honest opinion. I was contemplating getting this concealer, but now I will skip it. There are better concealer out there. Thanks Angela 💕
Love hearing your reviews Angela. I love the No. 1 foundation too but alo love the No 1 mist which does wonders for my skin midday pricey but worth it to me. I am not impressed with the serum. The Dior backstage concealer is great and I actually bought an extra to keep on my desk for speed touchups like a red nose from a cold before a zoom meeting LOL. Still I also love the Sublimage concealer which is magic on my skin but I am double your age and need the extra help. So many good 2022 products! I wonder what will be wonderful in 2023?

Happy New Year! The Chanel No 1 foundation is on my list. Your skin looks flawless and so healthy! My biggest disappointment was the Kjear Weis Tinted Moisturizer - horrid. It pilled, it stuck to dry areas I didn't know I had, settled in to pores for that polka dot look. I tried the blush for the first time this year and love it.
Best was the EXA foundation. Love your list.
My favorite foundation is the Sisley cushion foundation, which, in my opinion, is much better than either Cle de Peau or Chantecaille cushion foundations. N.B. The Cle de Peau cushion. I found the scent to be overwhelming. Any of the Suqqu melting blushes, which apply in a delicate wash of color, but can be built up. Favorite eye palettes are Chanel’s Mediteraneen and Dior’s Blue Velvet. Favorite lip colors are the Sisley sheer colors and the Cle de Peau satin formulas. Happy New Year!

My biggest disappointment was sadly Rose Inc (it started off promising with the lipsticks, but went downhill quickly after that). The biggest hits of 2022 for me are the Isamaya Industrial Eyeshadow Palette (it's genius), the Makeup by Mario Skin Transforming Enhancer (balm) and the Perfector (powder), and the Patrick Ta Foundation/Powder Duo and the Contour Duo. (Not sure when the Patrick Ta was released, but it was new for me in 2022.)

Hello Angela and welcome to 2023🎉! My vavorige foundation for a long time now has been Chantecaille “ The Foundation “ that comes in a jar. But I find myself using and loving No 1 the Chanel. It really is gorgeous. I am using Chantecaille Sheer Glow Rose face tint as a primer. And what a combo. Never got the concealer from Chanel first the price and besides to many confusing opinions. So I will pass. Have a great rest of the week. 😊

I actually really love the sublimage. When I apply it , it looks really good in my opinion (I compare it to the Armani power fabric which was my holy grail).
Or if I compare with the Tom ford shade and illuminate, which is loved by many- I don’t really like it. I feel it’s too luminous (so I have to powder) and doesn’t sit good on any eye cream. So I have to use it without an eye cream.

i love my hermès complexion balm ! it works very well on me & in my tropical climate. the shade (chanvre) is also the most unusual in its undertone & one of the best shades on me. everyone is really different !
this year the biggest change has been reverting to using my fingertips for application as i was increasingly feeling that it’s the gentlest application method on my skin (for foundation). i’ve also been reaching out for & loving all the la mer foundations (liquid, radiant skintint, cushion, pressed powder) together with the bronzer-blush-highlight trio. with covid in check & everything back to normal in 2022 the intense spending spree during the pandemic also slowed down as we’re no longer deprived of things to see & do or places to go.
it’s good to know about the chanel handcream - if only i knew it earlier ! i had the same dry itchy red rough patches on my knuckles & resorted to using expensive face cream just on the back of my hands (no greasy fingers) - very effective & luxurious solution ! now i know the alternative ! 💗

love the chanel tweed number 4 brun et rose so much i got a backup. i will be so sad when i hit pan on both - no other permanent line eyeshadow from any brand is just like it. i have pat motherships and natasha denonas, but the one i reach for the most is brun et rose, followed by dior’s soft cashmere and tom ford’s nude dip.
OMG Angela so many of your favourite releases are also mine. Chanel No 1 Foundation is one of my favourite foundations ever by any company.
I love the Guerlain Bronzer, i love all Guerlain Bronzers and Meteorites anyway.
The Chanel Camelia Highlighter and the Holiday one in Rose Gold. The tweed number 4 is my favourite eyeshadow pallet and the only one i bought in 2022, alsoll.
Not sure if you have tried the Kohl eyeliners from Victoria Beckham yet, but they are incredible, glide on like butter and can be blended and stay put all day. I highly recommend. They are my stand out product from 2022 and i bought the gift set with the free VB cosmetic bag she does every holiday season.

My only real fail was the Chanel Blush Lumiere in Pech Rosee. This unfortunately forms a hard skin over the top and i have had to scrape it off twice to be able to use the blush, thus ruining the fabulous design.
Reminds me of the very old chanel blushes from years ago, which they removed and reformulated.
At £52.00, i am not impressed at all.

I must be the only person on the planet for whom the Hermes balm works great lol, I have dry mature skin and this is wonderful soothing tinted moisturizer, I tried it in the summer when the A/C was dehydrating my face and I love it. I love the regular Chanel concealer as well as Nars creamy on, I will skip the $95 Chanel concealer thank you very much!!!
Happy new year Angela! I have a Gucci powder that hard pans every time I use it. Very disappointing. I will definitely not repurchase but I’m trying to use this one up as much as I can so, I very gently scrape it with a spread/butter knife (because they don’t have teeth like regular knives) and when I use it, I wipe my brush every time I’m going for another dip in the pan 😄 I know, luxury brands shouldn’t be this much work but at least I’m getting some use out of it this way. Sisley loose powder and compact powder are my favs, I actually find the compact powder to be moisturizing somehow (sounds weird, right). I use these for the smooth affect they have on the skin. But if I want true mattifying power for the T-zone I use Shiseido powder compact or Charlotte’s airbrush powder. Geez! when did I accumulate so many powders 🙈🙈😄😘😘
Angela, what are thoughts on Cle de Peau’s stick concealer? I had high hopes for the new Chanel concealer. I’m 58 for reference. Thanks!

The Dior Addict Shine lipstick was a huge disappointment for me. It didn't last even a few minutes.
I think the Guerlain bronzers are the same colours every year, but in a different print. I use the the 00 Clair Rosé, Light Cool as a combination of blush/bronzer in one.
I just love the eyeshadow you have on. Please tell me what it is. Hopefully it is not the sold out tweed collection by Chanel. Love your videos and how natural you are .
Thanks for this very fun video! I ❤️ Tweed Brun et Rose and am crying that I didn’t get a backup. I took a chance on Tweed Pourpre and it’s disappointing. Muddy shades that make my eyes look bloodshot. I also love the Chanel Mediterraneen eye palette and was smart enough to get a backup of that. 😁 We have other favorites in common: The Sisley Tinted Moisturizer, Tom Ford Brazen Rose blush, the Chanel Water fresh blush, and the Chanel lip balms. I bought the Sisley concealer and it’s a disappointment; I have mature skin and like the consistency but it seems to make my dark circles more prominent. I adore the Paris Paris fragrance and want the body lotion but it has been sold out. 😢 I have a favorite lesser-known Chanel product, the Eclat Du Desert. No one ever talks about this but it’s a wonderful powder for a fair skin. For me it doubles as a blush and a highlighter. Absolutely brilliant and thankfully is part of the permanent collection. I have re purchased it over and over. Another go to for me is the La Mer cushion foundation. It’s my every day foundation and I constantly receive compliments on how glowy and perfect my skin looks. And I got my first ever Natasha Denona and Tom Ford eye palettes in 2022. TF Nude Dip is amazing and I also liked the hot Khaki and Violet Satine palettes, although I use them far less. I picked up the Natasha Denona Retro Glam palette and that has become my everyday go to for a simple, two shade eye look. Great quality at a nice price point. I’m eagerly awaiting the Chanel 2023 spring eye palette you previewed! Love the color story… something different! Can’t wait to see it when you get it.

Happy New Year Angela! Than you so much for your honest reviews and your open opinion. I really appreciate this as you are always talking the truth. The intense eye shadow palette is one of my favorite one, together with the Guerlain G new eyeshadow palettes. The Chanel tweed ones, i didn't really really like them. And the Chanel holiday i really wish i could return. I hated the nail polish. The highlighter was too dark for my fair complexion and the eyeshadow i wasn't very wowed with it in the end. I loved the Chanel new nude lipstick and nail polish releases. I think was one of the nicest investments i did this year. Saying this the product i think i hated most this year was the Sisley concealer, the color tone is nice but the formulation so hard to work with when you have dry under skin area. Very hard to blend and to spread, i really feel i need to rub hard my skin i order to work it. It claims to be hydrating i think it literally does the opposite. On the other side i love the sublimage concealer. Very easy and very creamy to use, it really pops up the eye and really hydrates the whole time you have it on. I don't like the pot it comes in, but for the rest i think this will be my concealer to go from now on. Another product i loved was the body shimmering oil form Chanel No5. When i feel down it just put some on my arms and chest and it really makes my mood.
I bought the Hermes Complexion Balm after trying a sample sachet. I thought it made my skin look so good - evens out my skin tone, it looks natural and wore beautifully through the day. I shared the sample with my sisters and they could not believe how beautiful the finish is on herself. However, were we in a hot tropical humid climate and when I came home to a drier climate, I was horrified to see how terrible it is. I could not believe the difference!! Nothing else changed other than the climate.
The other thing I noticed, it works best with fingers and currently, I would apply sunscreen and mix the foundation with a small amount of sunscreen again to lighten the texture for my foundation step. Thankfully, I shared the 40ml with my sisters. Also, it only has a 6-month shelf life.
Dear Angela, thank you for all your videos! I'm wondering what would be your go-to products for a flawless look without using foundation? For exemple, primer, concealer and powder?
Hello and thank you so much for watching my videos! :) I don't use primers. I've tried a lot but never really used them. The only products that I like and works almost as a primer is the Dior Dreamskin skin perfector but this is day cream. My favorite powders are Sisley loose powder (it's best for dry skin) and Givenchy Prisme libre loose powder (best for oily skin). Both are gorgeous. My favorite concealers for days without foundation are Armani Luminous silk concealer and YSL all hours concealer. I hope this helps. Have a wonderful day! xoxo

My favorite new or new to me products of 2022: Summer Fridays Skin Tint, Kosas Concealer, Victoria Beckham #2 lipliner, Dior #527 Atelier Shine lipstick, Chantecaille Marigold Lip Balm, Chantecaille Rose Glow Primer Balm, Ilia Multi Stick blushes, Westman Atelier Biscuit Contour Stick, Chantecaille Lotus Highlighter, Bobbi Brown eyeshadow sticks in Smokey Topaz and Mulberry which are both new releases, LaRoche Posay UVMune Cream and Fluide Formulas SPF, several skincare products from Allies of Skin including the niacinamide booster, peptide treatment, multi-hyaluronic acid serum and facial oil. I also liked the Skinmedica TNS Ceramide Treatment Cream as a nightcream mixed with the Allies of Skin facial oil over tretinoin. Biggest disappointment was the formula of the new Rouge Allure Extrait lipsticks from the nude collection because it is much more drying than any of the other Rouge Allure formulas on my lips although I did like the color A Demi Mot. Other lip products that were major disappointments were the Guerlain lip balm and the Valentino Rosso lipstick formula both of which I was lucky enough to be able to return. Foundations I got samples of that didn't impress me enough to buy were the Cle de Peau The Foundation and the Chanel Water Fresh Complexion Touch. I was disappointed by the Westman Atelier stick concealer. It looked great but the glow faded after an hour.
Hi Angela, firstly, where is your top from? My fav concealer is sisley and even more Armani luminous silk. I dont get it how come it is not hyped up 😕 Givenchy prism foundation, gucci blusj, suqqu melting blush, westman atelier baby cheeks blush, makeup forever fusion bronzer, fenty invisamatte powder, victoria beckham kohl pencil cocoa and ash, surrat eyeshadows WOW, dior lip liner, chantecaille lip chics, surrat lip lustres shimmery ones.
Great video! I expected the Cle de Peau highlighter to be mentioned as well. Why didn’t it cut the edge?
Hello Clidre :) I love the Cle de peau highlighters but my favorite is still one of the discontinued ones. That's why they didn't end up in my favorites. The new ones are gorgeous but have tiny shimmers that are visible on the skin. The old one that I had from Cle de peau was real perfection. No shimmer - just pure light. xoxo

My major disappointment was La Mer. J.Lo loved it, so I bought it once at an airport. That night I broke out in hives. Most expensive disappointment. I never bought La Mer again.

Please DON’T THROW YOUR POWDERS, sometimes they’re so hard pressed on the pan or the greasiness of your fingers made a hard film on top, it happened to me and the advice from a very professional MA is, very lightly scratch the top with a spatula and that’s it. I saved a very expensive blush from Chanel this way and some other products.

I’ve hit hard pan a few times with the CT face pallet. I’m very pale and use the medium deep. I like it and want to use it but it’s frustrating having to put sellotape over it every couple of weeks to lift off the hard pan. 🫤
