The extra copies that you mention at 7:00 are not really extra copies. The copy at 2pi on the original signal is now compressed to pi, the copy at 4pi (that you didn't draw but it exist) is now compressed to 2pi, etc. From what you tell it sounds like these copies come from out of nowhere, but indeed they do appear because of the compression of the whole frequency axis. Great video btw, thanks.
@@electricallectures Thanks for the answer. I need to know, so what beneifts can we get by doing so rather than sending the data with the basic sampling rate if it increases the complexity?
@@electricallectures in decimation down sampling we get copies of frequencies at 2pi what is the reason behind it. Similar we also get in interpolation but in interpolation it is removed by using filter.
In decimation, signal is expanded in freq domain so copies remain at multiple of 2pi, whereas in interpolation, signal is compressed in freq domain so extra copies come in between which needs to be filtered
I could barely understand this video. Why are most technical videos narrated by someone with an Indian accent that are almost impossible to understand?

VERY GREAT LECTURE
Thanks. Stay tuned and subscribe our channel
great lecture
Stay tuned and dont forget to subscribe plz
Can you make for linear interpolation of signals ?
What is the purpose of sampling conversion in term of computation complexity?
Upsampling will definitely increase the complexity depending upon upsampling factor

waaleikum salaam warahmatullahy wabarakatuh
Sir why cant discard copies in down sampling decimation why we are doing it in up sampling decimation or what is the main reason behind same copies
Sorry, but i couldn't understand your question. Please clarify.

No voice clarity bro
Really sorry. That was very early experience. Now its getting better
Thank you sir
You are welcome

So sorry for that. You can use subtitles
