    I literally started crying. I've dreamed about going to Japan since I was 12 (currently 26) and I recently just confirmed and started planning my trip to Japan for 2021. I was thinking about the chances of seeing the cherry blossoms would be so slim even during my 3-week trip cause I will be all over the place (Tokyo to Hiroshima - with possibly Ehime) so I started convincing myself that the later months (Oct/Nov) would be better. But after seeing this... and realizing my own reaction. I know that if I am going to the place of my dreams I have to at least have a day of seeing cherry blossoms. If I am crying now... I can only imagine what I will be like if I do see them. Thank you for sharing! Japan 2021!

      You can definitely see them! Keep your travel plans open because if the season hits early or late you can always travel North or South depending on where they’re blooming at the time :)

    Thank you Hannah for your beautifully filmed vlog! I watched this morning on a 50 inch TV I have set up in front of my treadmill. You were larger than life size when you were talking and the cherry blossoms looked magical. I was watching at 7:00 am and I was thinking how it is already 7:00 pm for you as you are 12 hours ahead of us here in Nova Scotia. The trees here are still bare, except for the evergreen trees, as the leaves don't come out until the end of May. Wonderful video Hannah! Thumbs up!

    As long as you don't expect it to be nice and quiet and just you and the Sakura!! It is super busy everywhere but there is still enough room for everyone. The cool thing about this time of year is that they are freeking everywhere. You often get two for one when visiting shrines as they also often have lots of Sakura around them. If you want to taste the best Mochi ever head to Kyoto and go to the Fushimi Inari Shrine. To the left is a row of food stalls and a guy sells different flavours of Mochi but the one I absolutely love is the Strawberry Flavoured Mochi with White Bean Paste and it has one of those delicious Japanese strawberries sitting on top of it. They are 400 Yen each but well worth the price!!

    I can finally watch this knowing I didn’t miss the blossoms. Travelling north to Yamagata was amazing. The blossoms were fabulous. You gotta go one day. Don’t pre plan too much except the flight to Japan. Wait until the blossom report is on the web before booking your accommodation, that way you can change destinations if they flower early or late.

    I found this channel almost accidentally ( and I am glad for that) I had dreamt of visiting Japan and watching the cherry blossoms since I was 9 years old. I remember I had watched a Japanese show called ' Ultraman Mebius' and from then on I had dreamt of visiting Japan. Currently I am 17, just about to start my college. I wish that someday I would visit the place to enjoy the bloom season. Also, your video made me feel so good , especially the way you expressed your emotions without any bit of acting or stuff. I loved your video a lot! May God bless you. Love from India!!

    Always found 花見 is when the Japanese are their most relaxed. As you said drinking with the policemen was pretty surreal (I've had that experince, too, when I was in Japan in the 1990s). Good work with the vloggs, keep them coming.

    I really like your style Hannah. I saw you for the first time with Norm the other day. I like your videos. This one's my fav. I watched it again with a bowl of Japanese noodles. Loved every second.
    What I like is that you "show" and not "tell" -- meaning most jloggers yap into the microphone as long's the camera rolling. That gets tiring. I'd rather let the camera do the talking. Thumbs up, and subscribed!

    • @CurrentlyHannah
      @CurrentlyHannah  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Wow thanks so much! That’s always been my kind of motto when making videos because even when writing stories you should show and not tell so of course the same applies when making video “stories”. Also I feel like the blossoms are way more interesting than I am anyway hahah. Thank you for watching!

    Probably one of the longest standing dreams I've had is seeing the cherry blossoms in Japan. Since I was 14 probably. I visited the country when I was 19... about 4 years ago now for a study tour with my university... however we went in late May so the blossom season was over. I am going to apply for the JET program next year, so hopefully this dream will come true... fingers crossed.

    No one says, but when you look at the cherry blossoms, the clear blue sky is the most beautiful. The color that best suits the cherry blossoms. Without this, the charm of cherry blossoms would be halved.
