Very helpful for me to see this. I have to do the exact same procedures on my 391. (broken clip from the clutch).

You were supposed to put a few drops of grease on that needle bearing... It should be greased up from time to time..

I ordered the pump from ebay. Unfortunately the plastic elbow fit too loose in the new pump. Looks like this is gonna take longer to fix.

Try replacing the O ring. That may help. Thanks for watching.

Thank you Dale. Have you got a strip down video? Oil is coming out of my MS391 but not enough. So think I have an issue with the pump or oil filter

How can the chain make contact with the pump? Impossible because it is under the clutch drum, no way it can make any contact...

You are correct. It was the clip from the clutch that nicked the oil line. Not the chain. Good catch. Thanks for watching.

Now how do you remove that clutch?

Take the brake band out, very simple to remove and reinstall.

Make sure new install parts are oem and not inferior Chinese junk,or you will be stripping down again.

Im in the middle of checking my oiler and need to know how to remove the clutch , I tried hitting the socket with a small hammer with no luck breaking the torque , and the video make no mention of how to do this crucial step

to remove the clutch you will need to lock out the piston. This a done with a lock out tool that is screwed in the spark plug hole, or by by using a rope. To use the rope method, remove the spark plug, using the clutch rotate it counterclockwise until the engine is on the up stroke. Feed the rope in the spark plug hole. When it is full rotate the clutch counterclockwise until the engine locks. now you can use a wrench to loosen the clutch.
      Thanks for watching.

How can the chain hit the pump? It is under the clutch drum , impossible for the chain to make contact with it...!

You are right. It was the clip from the clutch that damaged the oil line. The clutch drum and brake band got very hot and started to melt the housing. I'm not sure what caused the heat, maybe running it with the chain brake on, That may caused the clip to break on the clutch.
      Thanks for watching.
