Euro 2024 is upon us, and just like with almost every other tournament, England are one of the favorites, and so there’s a lot of pressure on them to produce results. Now, are the Three Lions ready? Well, the game against Brazil might suggest that they may not be fully ready. This is why we think Gareth Southgate has to answer certain questions before Euro 2024 officially kicks off.
First of all, is it time to stop relying on wingers? There’s a lot of debate about what Foden’s best position is, whether Saka or Foden should be on the right, and whether Rashford or Gordon should be depended on on the left. But what if the answer lies in a more linear approach to the attack?
Perhaps England could be better off playing two strikers up front and four midfielders behind them. You could have a strike partnership of Kane and Toney or Watkins with Bellingham playing as a 10, Rice as a 6, and two other midfielders who can hold the center midfield.

See it's very simple. Bellingham will play as an 8. He's energetic and has stamina. While Madisson should play as a ten. He's very technical and creative.

For me u have a 4-2-3-1:
GK- Pickford
Def- Walker, stones, maguire, gomez
Mid- Trent and rice as the 2, foden on left, Saka right and Bellingham down the middle
St- Kane
In Attack you can move to a 3 back, have stones move into midfield and have Trent, rice and Bellingham as a 3 who cover each other when needed. Then have foden, Saka and Kane in attack and Bellingham can move forward if Kane drops back.
Subs: tomori, Watkins, toney, ramsdale, Maddison, James, palmer, henderson and guehi.
What is needed to win a international tournament
1- Balanced squad
2- Big game players up front
3- Good manager
4- Little bit of luck
5- Fearless style of play

I agree that we should stop relying on wingers, which is very predictable, and sometimes leaves holes in midfield.
Two strikers could be an option, and I would pick Toney, but I very much doubt Gareth would consider it.
If Reece James gets back up with some good performances then I think he should be a guarantee. Its risky but he can ply RCB if a 3 at the back is used for certain situations and he's a more rounded fullback then any one England currently has on the plane

This must be the last tournament for Southgate. I can't understand his team selection method. Is it previous reputation or merit based? Does the team have an established formation & philosophy to rely up on & make changes according to their opponents? ..... One thing I'm sure is that there's a talent disposal that can level to the Brazilians in their prime years, the Spanish 2008-2012. I wonder what Pep Guardiola or Jurgen Klopp could do to this England talent pool in a 6 years period.

Quansah Harvey Curtis and Trent might not be starters for England but having them in the squad is a boost
I wouldn't play Maguire, or Chilwell who are both prone to errors, and Maguire is painfully slow.
